Whining Noise?

Hey guys, I have just recently purchased a 2012 Mazda 6i sport 4cyl 2.5l Automatic and I'm noticing a whining/spooling up sound whenever I'm in gear. I noticed the sound while I was at a drive-thru with my window down. I've noticed that it makes the same sound when I'm in park, but it seems to shift from the drive train area up to the engine compartment. Any ideas on what's causing this sound? I have heard this same sound on other vehicles from time to time, but never knew what was wrong? Sort of reminds me of a hamster running on a squeaky wheel?

Does it flux in sound, when you speed up do you hear it more or does it go away? Its odd for a 2012, but could be cerpentien belt or your idealer pully or one of the pullys. Look at the belt for cracks if so replace, start car an try to focuse on the area of noise.
