Which turbo would you choose ?

what about equal leng tubes for the manifold ... does that make a difference ?

Juan's seems to have the shortest possible lengh for runners on his manifold compared to Beau's which seems to have equal lengh runners

Equal Length is nice to match on all cylinders. I like things that are balanced.

it would also make sense that equal lengh also flows better

i think thats the main difference between HiBoost's and MAM's kit. I also wana keep my AC hehe so maybe HiBoost's kit isnt for me

hmmm i made an assumption. The intake side of the turbo is facing the AC compressor ... i thought id have to remove it to put my intake piping there

if youre careful, you can bend it. her ei swhat i did on my first turbo kit.

You do not have to take the AC off the car. The short manifold makes the turbo to spool faster and the difference is not noticeable between the short and the equal lenght manifold.

Here are some pics:

I think a lot of it has to do with your plans on driving the thing too. Like if you want a huge amount of HP for dragging/bragging whatever then go for the big boy. But if your going to do Auto-X stuff or zipping around town I would get something that spools up really fast and had better response times. Personally I can't imagine having 350+ hp in a FWD Protege, but everyone is different. I just see you spinning the wheels in every gear and "waisting" all that power cause you can't use it.

That is how I would base my decision.
