which tires should i put on my soon to be 18s?

also, which ones will be least likely to hydroplane?

Parada's are what I am getting for my next set, they are good tires. Don't know about hydroplaning though.

dont know if they make them in your size - but i had Michelin Pilot XGT Z-4 on another car.. probably the best wet tire ive had on a street car.. also great ride and dry weather handling.
with the rain and roads in FL - never lost traction (without acting stupid) on those tires

Of the tires you listed, the Toyos will have the best performance, especially in the wet.

You might also want to think about the Bridgestone Pole Position S-03...

i dont care how lame I am for caring but.......the bridgestones just arent as sexy looking as the others I listed

:)

my friend had also recommended the pole positions

the Yokohama AVS ES100's......believe it or not...they are higher rated than the Parada Spec 2's......and on top of that...they aren't quite as noisey.

so....if you are conisdering getting Spec 2's....LIKE I WAS...go and take a close look at the ES 100's.....I think you may just change your mind. The price was a wash too.

(stash)

I'm going with the parada spec-2 but if I had some more money, the BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDW New Tread is rated by far a way better tire.

There are way better tires that cost the SAME as the Parada.... like the ES100 Sir Nuke mentioned. Or the Kumho MX, or the Falken Azenis... the list goes on...

Yeah I'm debating between the Parada Spec-2s and AVS ES 100s as well. But I'm pretty sure I'm going with the ES 100s. The only thing I don't like about them is their sidewall, but whatever :).

The kumho's or hankooks are the way to go. The Parada Spec-2s sucked in the weather in my opinon. So did the bfg g-force. I Have rolled alot of 17" tires and the best one I have found believe it or is the hankook k102's
I live in Oregon and u cant even tell when you hit water with them. I Love them. My wife has Nokian NRZi's on her jetta and I think they are really sweet also

Falken

I have Falken GRBetas and i love them. I push it hard through rain or shine and they perform like a champ. By the way i had a friend that had paradas and there shredded apart on him. Wierd. Take a look at the Falkens, and the yoko es100

I agree with pyro about the Kumhos.
I've got Kumho 712s and they grip like a mo-fo. I've heard scary things about them in the snow, but if your not planning on taking them in the snow, they seem to be the best "bang-for-the-buck" tires out there.

yeah man! I've got the Kuhmo 712! West VA back roads are great. I've used my stock dunlops in an AUto-x and my Kuhmo's...WORLD OF DIFFERENCE! I've also used them in the snow. THEY SUCK A$$ in the SNOW! I bought a set of firestones, mounted them to my 16's and just bought some 17" Montegi MR7's and going to mount them to the Kuhmo's for summer driven.

I had the Parada Spec-2 (on my last car) and I must say they are very soft rubber which was awesome handling on dry roads, but when it got wet out they were less than satisfactory, IMO, also, since they were so soft, they also wore out REALLY fast.. I wore them down until they looked like drag slicks in less than a year, and that was all street driving.. not even driving them hard.

well I narrowed it down to the T1S and the Parada Spec-2.....

And since I have heard good things about the parada, they look really cool, are cheaper than the toyos, have a slightly better treadwear thant he Toyos and have the same traction rating.....I think im gonna go with them
