Which mazdaspeed to buy?

I'm looking at a new car to buy and these are some of my choices in my area. based on speed which is the one to go for? im leaning towards the 3 and the miata. The miata is at my dealer where i bought my current car which is a lease and i owe money on it, so i can save a coupple grand getting the miata vs if i get the 3 ill owe a couple more grand. from what ive read the 3 responds best to performance parts but a 2500 lb turbo car doesnt sound bad either. Thanks for the input

Really depends upon your needs/desires. Will this be your only car? Any family plans in the next few years? Didn't notice where you were from, but climate would enter into my decision as well. They're all great cars but definitely different niches. Good luck!

really it depends on your goals.. i am not a fan of the speed3, nothing personal.. i have a msp.. if i could do it over again.. id go with the miata!!!!

i dont have too many desires i just want a nice, reliable, fast car. This will be my only car and no family plans in the future. I live in FL. I'm not really a 2 seater guy but if it will save me a couple grand then i dont mind. Plus miata sounds badass with a turboback but so then does the all of the mazdaspeed's. Im planning on keeping this car for at least 3 years.

Why the miata over the protege? I just dont know if a 60k on a protege will last me 3 years or so.

rwd, drop top, and extra gear, plus it holds its value so much better!

yea the rwd thing also caught me, my current car is rwd and i love it. 5 speed vs 6 speed also keeps me wondering

not a fan of the speed 6. From what i know (correct me if im wrong) the ms3 is faster than the ms6 and the only reason im considering the miata is because it will save me a couple grand in my situation. Although the 6 is AWD i just feel the 3 is a better choice.

i would 100% agree with you that the speed3 puts down better numbers on the dyno and is faster on a roll...but also the ms6 vs the ms3 on a stop 1/4 mile dig what ever you want to call it..ms6 would win ...plus 2 dif. classes the ms3 is with like the new cobalt's, srt-4s, and gti's..while the ms6 is like a legacy gt, sti, and evo..i have a ms6 my gf has a ms3 i like both lol

ms6 compares to a sti and evo stock? i put buses on a ms6 now and i dont think i put buses on sti's and evo's.. but with a little work a ms6 can hang with new sti and evo?? thats pretty sickk

Ya the ms6 compared to the evo X and the sti hatch...what ive seen in person and done ive raced a 05 sti with a dp and intake and all i had was a intake and pulled dead even..and then stock speed6 if your a good driver if you know how to drive the car runs 13.5-13.9 stock im not the best driver and i ran a 14.2 first standard car and first time ever running at the track...but back to the fact that a evoX with a tbe was running my friends ms6 at the track all my friend has is a dp and sri ms6 13.3 @ 101 evoX 13.8@ 99 the evo's best time was a 13.6 but dont read what motortrend said about the speed 6 cause in there 1/4mile they ran with the tcs on and bogs the s*** out of your car
