Which Fuel Injector Treatment???

:
MazdaSpeed3 07
(breakn)When I first got my speed 3 i was averaging 300-310 miles per tank....one year later, i'm averaging about 270-280...Does anyone recommend some good tips for improving gas mileage? I'm new to all this so any help would be highly appreciated.

I went to Auto Zone and was looking at the various FI treatments, i ended up getting STP but a friend told me that those suck. The people at Auto Zone told me to get Lucas because it lubricates the fuel injectors.

Any help and explanations would be highly appreciated as I'm having to pump gas about every 3 days.

Bought my Speed3 in Nov 2006, and it's well over 20K miles.

None. You should be using premium grade fuel which should have all (or more than) the additives and detergents that you need.

if your car is turbo you should be running full synthetic oil

it will actually increase the life expectancy of your car

and you are running premium fuel right?

I use Seafoam in my tank once in a while to keep my injectors clean. In addition to checking and replacing your air filter you can add a few more pounds of air to each tire to get a little better mpgs. Also make sure that your sparkplugs are in good condition and gapped properly.

Yeah, I take my Speed3 to the dealer for the oil changes, i didnt ask whether they used synthethic or not (I hope theyre caring enough to use the correct stuff) and of course, I use premium (91 Octane) here in L.A. ($3.45/gal if you're lucky)...

idk 100% for sure but Im pretty sure mazda is running full synthetic in the speeds

but next time you go in for an oil change make a point to ask about it (thumb)

and yea, l.a.s gas prices suck...but look on the bright side, at least they arent like on the I5 heh....3.79/gallon for cheap stuff =X

It might be due to the winter mix fuel. i dunno if cali gets that or not, but winter mix contains more ethanol which does not give you as much MPG. just an idea.
