Mazda Mazdaspeed 6
Hey I always knew that CP-E has a FMIC (Front Mount Intercooler), and just found out that Corksport has one. It's the CORKSPORT 'Power Series' Mazdaspeed 6 FMIC Kit. From what I can read and tell, the Corksport FMIC iss overall bigger (it's dimensions are bigger, same size piping) than the CP-E. Just wanted to know if anybody has tried this one or owns it. I know alot of Speed6 owns have the CP-E...and it's like $300 cheaper. Has all the same options as CP-E as far as BOV flanges and colored piping.

What do you think?

i heard that with the corksport fmic u dont have to cut the crash bar at all i think u might have to with the CP-E

You don't have to cut the crashbar with either. I like the corksport setup better. It utilizes the stock tmic location as an intake which is pretty nice. The cp-e looks better as far as quality however.

yea they both are really nice cant really go wrong, didn't know there was not cutting with the cp-e tho thats cool

Our kit includes everything, intake, TIP, all the piping, etc. We recently added black silicone connectors as an option as well.

Wasn't thinking of going all-out custom. Do you think that your custom FMIC out-performs that of CP-E and Corksport?

I wouldnt say it out performs but its probably the same. If you want ease of install buy the corksport or cpe. If you want to save money and not afraid to spend a lot of time making a custom kit then go custom. I ended up cutting half my crash bar to get more air flow to the intercooler. On these kits you dont have to cut the crash bar.. But some of the intercooler hides behind it.
