which car to buy

It sounds like the SRT4 is a really good option. What do you all think about Eclipses and 3000GTs? There are a few for sale here and i might consider them. Kep up with all the help and suggestions!

Horrible resale value and spotty reliability at best. The 3000GT is a known reliability nightmare.
Have you thought about a used audi A4?
Perhaps even a used BMW 325i?
There is alot of aftermarket goodies to be had for both of these cars.

Although I still say if you want MSP handling with bullit proof reliability and build quailty, the Integra Type R is the only way to fly

eclipses and 3kgt's are nice, but def. not on the reliable side. more on the fun when working side, and more in a straight line. i'd take an eclipse over the 3kgt because it's a smaller car and much easier to work on (which you will be doing with either), but the newest version of the 3kgt is sweet (99 i think is the only year with the changes i'm thinking of, like wing and front end, maybe 98 too though)

i vote for a4 too, like i said before :) a nice 2002 with a 1.8t, only bad thing about them is the front suspension likes to go bad, so hopefully you can find one that has had that replaced already, or is really low mileage so you don't have to worry about it for a while

The integra type R also gets my vote.

I have access to an SRT-4 (brother-in-law) and have driven it extensively. I'll say this for its handling: after putting in adjustable tokico shocks, lowering springs, beefed up rear endlinks and swaybar (about $750.00 total) it handles excellent now. We have dialed out the understeer and it's very neutral now. As far as brute power goes, you just can't beat it.

type R if you can find one. EVERYONE has srt-4s how. I see more of them than i do RSX's and i live in freakin lubbock, seriously there has got to be 20 of them running around town.
