Where to support engine while changing powertrain mounts?

Hoping to change all engine/trans mounts in the next day or so. What are the best places to put a jack to support the engine/trans while I do each one?

A block of wood on a jack, then placed under the oil pan. Lift it just enough to put gentle pressure, just enough to keep it in place.
