Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone knew a good place to buy spark plugs online. I was also wondering if there any advantages to running a different spark plug than the stock one if i only have a intake and exhaust. Thanks!

Where else?

Seriously! I get my plugs from them. If you can't find it there, they probably don't make it.

BTW, they chanrge a bit high on the shipping, so I wouldn't order them 4 at a time. Get enough to last you a while.

When you say different, do you mean the material, or the heat range. With just I/E, you'd be fine with the stock heat range. If you want to go to a platinum or iridium plug, go for it. (not sure what kind your car runs stock - others would have better advice there)

Yeah i'm not even sure what kind of plugs i have stock (2003 p5). Some have said that iridium or platinum don't really make a difference on our cars but some say it does....Any final words on that?

Most Forum members think you can't beat the stock copper plugs. Your stock plugs are: NGK BKR5E-11 or Denso K16PR-U11. If you want to experiment with an upgrade, try the NGK ZFR5F-11 plugs. This is an alternate (extended reach) OEM spark plug recommendation discovered by TheMAN. Read about it in his thread at:

I'm using this modification and have noticed an improvement over stock.

If i'm using the NGK ZFR5F-11 plugs should i be using 89 or 91 octane? If i hear pinging on 87 do i just not push the car as hard or what?

Since switching to the NGK ZFR5F-11 plugs I also switched from 87 to 89 octane fuel because of the possibility that the extended reach provides slightly more ignition advance. No detonation under any circumstances with the 89 octane.

My advice is to try it first with 87 octane and the presence or absence of detectable detonation can be used to determine your octane choice.

Pep Boys didn't carry plugs for my car - and special ordering anything from those places is a disaster
