Where should I mount my boost gauge?

Steering column, and I like Prosports mounting pod the best so far! :)

hey..thanks for stealing my pic of my car!! btw, if you order this pod by itself make sure you have the electrical gauge, b/c the mechanical will not fit.

I agree with this guy. Vent install looks awesome. But you need to used a 60 mm gauge. The Defi looks great but the prosport is a better bargain and simpler wiring.

Another option I like is the Mearcat gauge pod that sits on the dash in the corner. This install is great because it's non-destructive. My only drawback is that my Navi sits there.

+1 definitely the way to go!!! The gauge cluster thing looks like ass, no offense to anyone just my opinion

I stuck mine on the steering column in the mouth of the Speedo Pac-man. I can't see my seatbelt light or my highbeam indicator but that's ok, people indicated they are on for me. :)

I'm a fan of the Mearcat pod, it's the least intrusive. The air vent one is total garbage, and where I live I take full advantage of having that well placed air vent, I can already see the glare off the gauge face in the air vent being a problem at certain times.

Gotta face it, this car was designed pretty shittily when it comes to adding aftermarket gauges. The 3 pod center panel could be the most factory looking if matched right, but the cheapy look of it doesn't match, and most of us don't feel like hacking into the dashboard. Plus, I have no reason to run 3 gauges at this point in the game.

If they came out with a replacement upper steering column cover with an integrated single pod all molded, I would be down for that. It would likely place the gauge lower/angled into the upper steering column cover so that it doesn't protrude so high like most of the gauges do that are mounted on stands (they usually have a good 1/2" of height play from the stand and stuff).

+1, I think the protege's have a double column one that looks nice and clean. If i could get my hands on another upper column cover i would fab up a fiberglass one.

Not my syle. IMO looks like a snake on the dash board. But i hate anything being in my line of vision, tomtoms radar detectors, anything like that makes me feel cluttered, I have my Cobra 12 band hardwired in the upper left hand corner of the windshield(where your oilchange sticker usually)nice and tucked.

I personally think the vent option is the worst. For one, it does not point towards the driver. For two its way to far down and too the left to be worth anything. And finally, it takes away a vent that you will miss come summertime :)

Also it gets some glare from the window as it's not pointing towards you......That's according to IDRVSLO who I talked to when I bought his intake.

Here is my gauge. I wanted it somewhere different. In my opinion there is a different aesthetic quality when compared to the pillar or steering column.
For those of you wondering I ran my hose through the left side of the engine bay through a grommet for the electrical.
