Where is your crossover?

I am in the process of installing 6.5'' Diamond component speakers in the front. I want to make it CLEAN, so I want to hide the crossover behind the panel. Where is a good place to hid it??? is it possible to keep it hidden behind the panel? I know there is an audio forum, but it seems like not many people look there, so i am posting it here... Thanks for your help!

I wrapped mine in foam and crammed them tight in the door. There is a hollow space inside the door... if you have the speaker out, it's inside the door panel going towards the front of the car.

No pics, sorry.

hey,

ditto, front half of the door, right above the speaker there is a hollow spot that houses my alpine crossovers just perfect. I used 3M two sided tape and stuck it to the door panel. They don't rattle and are more than sturdy enough.

This is the location you are talking about. What's the best method to keep it tight and quiet???

Since I have my amp in the hatch, I put the crossovers back there in the spot where the jack mounts. You do have to run an extra pair of speaker wires if you do it this way.

I did the crossovers in the door - but would not do it again. Water flows through the door and out the bottom. I have had problems with corrosion.

I put mine underneath the passenger side seat. That way I can still get to them if I need to change anything.

... well those things are huge so I don't know if that will work. But that is the spot that I have mine and they fit fine.

Putting them "in" the doors is a terrible idea
