I'm FREAKING OUT MAN! -Super Troopers

They told me that my car was supposed to be here on 24th.. it's the 24th...
I was at the dealer yest. telling them to leave everything as is on the car (w/panel stickers, center caps etc.. I kept picturing the same wash mitt used to wash 100+ cars on my baby's panels.. :shudder: i think i have issues lol)
oh well atleast i've been researching what to look out for and how to give it it's first wash...

1. power wash with little pressure
2. meguiar's gold class wash
3. Clay it with meguiar's clay kit
4. NXT or gold class paste wax... I'm split on this one...

I know the NXT offers UV protection and longevity, but gives it that "plastic" shine..whatever that means..(I haven't yet seen this because i really haven't waxed cars in the past, but i WILL take care of this one!!)
Goldclass (GC) is supposed to be carnauba based and supposed to look better, but short life span. If the GC offers UV protection then I'm definitely using GC..

So does anyone know if GC does or does not offer UV protection? (or does it even matter?)

congrats , its nice when you get a new car fresh off the truck with no test pilots dring the s*** out of it. mine had 16 miles sitting on the showroom, it would would have been nice to only have 3 or 4

it's ridiculous how new models can have like 150+miles and still call it new..
the model i test drove was a silver one that they ported from NJ to Maryland.. 250 miles when i drove it...

on top of that it's a turbo.. you gotta break that in nicely.... COBB's forum has a nice article on how to break in a turbo engine, but it's for a wrx (still should be same principle)

Now i just gotta figure out if boost gauges are warranty breakers or not...

oh and i'm also looking into vehicle trackers too... camrycev6's tragic story scared me.... that shoud also lower my insurance..(should.. lol)

ready for a 90's flash back?

Radical! lol
hmm... i guess now i gotta decide on paste or liquid lol

Thanks redspeed!

i think if you're within 20, you should be ok..
the sales guy said that it come off the truck with 10-15 miles on it. hopefully it's not bs, maybe they run it to test it before they're sent out.

Discussing with my dealer, he said to expect about 20 miles on the car. He told me it is a process Mazda uses just for the Mazdaspeed line. Mine is going to arrive in mid/late July so we'll see.

My baby came off the truck with 4 miles on it. Enough to roll it on the truck and off again. Still had the plastic and everything.

well. it's almost 25th.. the car didn't come in... i went to pepboys and went on a car-care shopping spree too lol. i was hoping it'd be today so i didn't have to take off from work.... oh well...

dayum,,, 4 miles... that's freekin awesome..

i'm still worried about one part. i know they gas your car.. i wonder how the porters are... maybe i'll tell em to take 50 off my bill so i can fill it myself heh heh.

well since i have extra time i think i'll research pb aio and nattys wax

thanks for the feedback

mine also had 4 miles on it when i first drove it. not for long though...

you will not need to clay bar a brand new car...

mine had 7 mile son it.
came in ont eh day they said (me dealer said it can be up to a week later they dont always expect it that day.
mine had the plastic of the second day and inspected. and given to me the third day. and the dealers will listen sometimes. I said i want it the way it comes off the truck. and they left the front plate mount in the trunk. since i got wheel locks the original lugs in glove box. and an original plastic oil cap also.
people i talked to didnt get that stuff.

but they will usually listen if you ask that stuff. is my point.

also its worth the wait to me. once you finally drive home. its all good!

MWA HA HA HA I GOT MY CAR!!! There is a good story behind it too, but i'll tell you guys later.. i'm pretty tired... i got pictures too lol.. (it's like someone's given birth to a new child... a wild child speed3.. aww.. lol)

yea... this is my first NEW car... couple years ago i used to have a 1968 oldsmobile 98... i thought it was a beaut.... after i sold that car, i saw it again in me myself and irene (when they were on the run) i missed it =(...
lol it was funny tho, i would get wierd looks because i was small asian kid with this big ass old (classic.. shoot, they scrapped the olds'.. tsk tsk.. they could've came back.. Lee Iacocca! they needed you!! lol) american car.

heh, i guess now the speed3 is here, sorta fits me lol.

ok so story goes (for those who are remotely interested =) )
I was supposed to get the car on 24th, but it never came. I was dissapointed, but what could i do but wait...
I get a call while i'm at work from the sales guy, saying that the car got here but there was a small problem..
Apparently when the truck operator was operating the hydraulic lifts to lower all the cars from the transporter truck, the freekin hydraulic line blew up spewing hydraulic fluid EVERYWHERE....
I couldn't sit still at work so I asked to leave early, and when I got there it looked like someone hosed a section of a wall with hydraulic fluid. I think some of the car near by the hose got sprayed too. I was lucky my car was in the front =)
so while i was waiting, i was talking to the sales people who were on break. I asked why there was no mazda4, cus mazda3,5,6,cx7,rx8cx9 etc.. then i remembered that 4 was a bad superstition in japan. so the other sales people were telling me how they don't have 4th floors in japanese hotels etc.. and another random story from a sales rep about the waving cats in the japanese sushi bars and such. it's not just for cuteness, it turns out that one of the emperors of japan was walking through a construction site and he saw a cat on hind legs pawing the air (like the statues lol) when the emperor stepped out of his way to see the cat, some heavy materials fell from above, saving his life... that's neat stuff... anyways i digress...
3 hours later the truck was fixed and my car was out... ( the damn truck operator was like "this yours? why, you got the dented one" I laughed nervously along and when he was gone i was meticulously looking over the body work, but he was just kidding... oh ha ha..

like i said i got some pics but i'm tired from the car wash i gave it today.
(used the pressure washer to shoot out dirt and used the NXT. that stuff smelled better than my shower soap... lol) dried it with the Microtowel using the "pat down" method.

tomorow i plan to clay it, cuz i did feel minor bumps...then wax it with NXT paste

sorry for the long post, stay tuned for chapter 2 soon lol.

Not that anyone cares,but

here are the pics...

the black one on the bottom is mineses!!
as you can see the hydraulics was shot on the delivery truck, so i had to wait a bit till it rolled off....

I had 8 miles on mine. I'd take that over 250miles anyday...
