where is egr valve on 99 protege 1.6l

need help cant find egr valve?

it's right on the back of the intake manifold between it and the firewall, just to the left of the of the throttle body (looking at the engine from the front of the car). should have a dark gray cap with an electrical connector going to it. if you take off a couple of the vacuum hoses back there it's pretty easy to get at.

i cant seem to find it is it under the throttle body?

nope it's hanging right off the back of the intake manifold. here is a link to replacing it with a canadian version (which i did) but anyways there is a pic in post #5 that should help you to find it and in post #7 a pic of what it looks like

yea but do have a 1.6l
