Where are the speed traps?

Hello all living in D.C. as you might know, there are some random speed traps around the streets consisting of a radar and camera. I just got notified of a ticket for going 45 in a 30 on Connecticut ave on the 5th of the month. The home stretch of my trip from NY. I wasn't using my radar because from my knowledge they are illegal in D.C. and VA.

does anyone have a list of the speed traps? I used my radar tonight, but it was a pain in the ass going off every second. Does anyone use their radar in D.C.?

Just a FYI for those with a Iphone there is a free app called TRAPSTER thats great for speed,redlight,like police spotting. Ive used it n it works pretty well. Giving you a warning when you get close to a speed camera,red light camera or if reported live police. You can also report new speed traps/cameras as they pop up...

DC 295 is a trap. All the cameras are in vans or parked patrol cars, they snap your picture as you drive by, and send you the tix in the mail. I was deployed and received it in the mail --->Wifey was driving and got caught! lol
