I hit a small fizz-pop-bang playing with my HVAC controls. Accidentally touched the board to something metal, don't even remember what happened. Blew the 10A interior fuse, replaced it and now the controls are ALWAYS on, even with the car off and the key out of the ignition. I'm thinking a relay somewhere got ****** and is switching constant 12V power to the controls. The only relay i could find is the one for the actual fan speed controls, nothing else. Any help?
Where are the relays at?

under the hood there are some in the fuse box. otherwise under the dash.

otherwise check all fuses. for WHATEVER reason, my TAILLIGHT fuse blew and was causing me to have no fog lights or backlighting on my gauges (all of em!)

I would check over the HVAC controls carefully. From what you discribed happening I would say that you have burnt a tracer on the circuit board and it has toached a live power line. I doubt you have burnt a relay as the relays that control the HVAC also control a large number of other devices in the car and it doesn't sound like anything else is on so it should be localized, or possibly you shorted something in the key cylinder, but it's not likely.
w3rd, i did check the board itself for burnt traces. none that i can see. plus, i checked the actual harness the board plugs in to, and one of the pins is active 12V. I don't know if its supposed to be on constant or not, I'll have to check another Protege for verification.
