600 EACH? WTF!!!!!!!!!!! You can get CUSTOM MADE WHEELS for that price.

http://www.fikse.com/

And when I mean custom...I mean custom. You can get them in +60 offset if you want...completely forged. One of the best wheels you can EVER buy.

I think I like those rims better than the volk, BBS, or SSR's. Those are some sweet rims. Are they $600 each, that's not a bad price for custom rims.

That makes more sense. Did you find out the offset on those?
nope mazda 6 doesn't exist in their vehicle line up so I can't get past that page...

ron,

I should have elaborated a bit on my comment. Because the width of tires differ even with the same 225 rating, thats why some people rub with 225/40/18 and 18x7.5 +48. A good example of this is comparing a falken Azenis sport 225/45/17 to a Toyo T1-S 225/45/17. The actual width of the tire is different.

Its close. Close enough that I'd err on the side of rolling my fenders just to be safe. I run 17x8 +48 myself, and after rolling there is JUST enough room to possibly run 235/45/17 Toyo T1-S's or 235/45/17 Kumo Mx's.

I had heard the same thing before putting the tires on. That's why I waited to do the springs at the same time, so I could check clearance with full suspension travel and no spring on. I'm no where near close to rubbing right now. As I said before I would have to really try and take a turn fast, enough to get a stiff 40 sidewall to flex 1/2 inch to get a rub. So far in regular driving for the past few weeks they are fine, no rubbing. I may roll the fenders to be safe, but it's not something I have to rush out to do.

One other thing to consider on tires, not only does the width of a 225 or 215 tire differ, so does the stiffness of the sidewall. I looked at a Hankook tires that I could squeeze with normal hand pressure. Rollover on those types of tires can be severe and definately cause rubbing even if none exists when the vehicle is stationary.

I'm driving kuhmos sized 225/40/18 and have no rubbing problems........friends wonder if I could fit 19's or 20's under there, i think 19's would make it but 20's i doubt

What determines rubbing is the width of the rim, its offset, and the width of the tire. So you can't really say 225/40/18 doesn't rub...cause I can show you a few thousand instances where it does.

Then of course if you've got an 18x7 +50 offset...with 225/40/18, thats why its not rubbing :).

20's fit....but you will hate yourself in the morning! Can you say Ruber Band Man(lol2)
