Wheel well clunk

OK, from the first day I had this car (3,000 miles from dealership courtesy use) it's done this little noise.

When I'm making a 90-degree right turn, and go over a bump like a drainage gutter or similar small-yet-sharp bump, I hear this ka-thunk in the driver side front wheel well. I do not get the same noise in the same situation making a left turn.

It sounds like a splash guard is loose or something, but I cant find anything loose or duplicate the sound while parked.

Any ideas?

I have the same thing and have been noticing it more lately.

Well, on the AZMC forum they seem to think it's a loose strut or lug nut. If it's not something loose, they think it could be the strut bearing.

I have no idea how to check for that kinda thing, I'm strictly a light-maintenance kinda guy.
