Wheel weight database online?

I'm within 3-4 months of wearing out my OEM Potenzas, and when I do, I plan to buy new wheels and tires. One thing that frustrates the living daylights out of me is that most online tire & wheel retailers do not publish the weight of the wheels when you browse. Tire Rack does, but they don't carry all of the brands I want to consider.

Does anyone out there know of a web site where wheel weight is documented? I used to have one bookmarked, but it went belly-up a year or two back. Google searches turn up very little, and the few sites I do find only document a small selection of wheels.

yeah good luck with that... I did that search awhile ago and never found anything was my cup of tea even for the higher priced ones.

I'm leaning towards a set of Kosei K1 TS 18x7.5 +50. Might be slightly over $250, but find me another 18x7.5 that weighs in at 16 lbs. I'm not a huge fan of the double spoke design, but at least they are thin spokes, and the design is fairly open.

Also looked at Enkei RS+M, and RS-7, in the same general price range (sub-$300), with the single spoke design. The Kosei's can be found slightly cheaper, and weigh a little less. Not sure about it yet, and am still looking for options.

I had a hard time finding wheel weights when I was looking for wheels. I ended up with RS-7s at closeout for $79 a wheel (company is out of business now) and they are ~19-20lbs in the 18x7.5 so that may be heavier than your looking for. I had to weigh them on a scale so it wasnt too accurate.

and likely a bigger piece of the pie

RPF1 is another I looked into, and I have nothing against Rotas. In fact, I kinda like the looks of the Rota Boost. My taste runs towards 6-8 spoke wheels, with thin spokes, no polished/machined lips, no outlandish colors. Quite plain, actually. Boring. Like me. (attn)

Kosei K1 Racing was my favorite wheel of all time. But they don't make them in 18's, and stepping down to 17's would throw off the speedo reading too much for me. (Without going REAL wide and/or increasing the aspect ratio to the point where handling is compromised.) Not even sure if the K1's come with a 5x114 lug pattern option... thinking they don't.

So, like, wow. I cannot find the Kosei K1 TS 18x7.5 in stock anywhere in silver. Tire Rack seems to have nothing but gold left. Google returns mostly forum discussions about them. Discount Tire Direct doesn't carry Kosei. Found a few smaller sites that had this model, but only in 17x7.

Anyone got any magic wheel supply sites handy? I tried a local tire shop that has treated me well in the past, but apparently, they have gotten so lazy that they just use the Tire Rack web site to order wheels. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over.

After a pleasant, but short discussion with the Tire Rack, I was informed that the Kosei K1 TS has been discontinued. I'm still trying to locate a wheel source that might have some left in stock, but so far it looks bleak.

My fallback right now would probably be the Enkei RS+M. 18x7.5 is 17.8 pounds. Not bad, and the price is sitting around $280, depending on which source you look at.

I really, really like the Advan RG-II's, but the best price I could find on those was $517 per wheel. Just too farkin' rich for my blood. In fact, a lot of the wheels I like are in the $500 range.

Enkei, here I come. Probably by September. Oof.
