Keep them pics and specs coming! (thumb)

Here's my humble set up, it's a work in progress, my wife and I are still trying to get our living room in order. I get sick of the layout and every 3 months or so, i have to move everything and purge, recycle and re-arrange everything.

If space is a consideration then buying a sff(small form factor) pc would be a good idea. As you can see from my picture my 19" lcd is a lot larger than my pc.

yep, i had an xp 1800+, but it needed too much voltage to get up to 2ghz and it was creating too much heat in my small pc, so i swapped a mobile in there and got it up to 2ghz on stock voltage and temps drop a good amount:)

Poster of red car at apex = EVO
poster next to that = Enzo?
Gallardo on end table
GT40 below and right of that
F-150 left of that

rest are too small in the pic!

Good eyes man. I didn't think you'd spot the gallardo

The little yellow car on the top shelf is an RX-7. that would be the hardest to make out.

Back on topic! ;)

Yay I started my first day doing IT work for Lenel Systems International (a security company) so here's my "cube" (it's really just the one partition between my desk and that of my supervisor) setup.

yeah it's way modest because yeah it was my first day haha.

Brad...That 24" deal is a beaut!..Man I can imagine one 24" center flanked on both sides by 19 or 20"ers (although that is a bit OVER budget)...Maybe a center 21" wide screen flanked by 19's on both sides...Hmmm the possibilities :D
Yeah, it makes going home to work on this single 17 incher suck :( I feel like I can't work on it, I am so used to having a bazillion things open and all over the place, now I get like 6 windows open and they stack up on the toolbar...such is life

Tell me about it...I've got a Toshiba 16" lappy at home which I've been using since I came to Japan almost 3 years ago...I think it's time for an UPGRADE!!!

I realize now that I would benefit A LOT more from more visual surface area and a more powerful setup! Mazda Forums ain't the same "little corner of the net" anymore ;)

Thanks, no way I was making out that as a 7!

Guys...It's not a good idea to go WAY OFF-TOPIC in any thread...Especially an admin's...Let's get back to the topic...Thanks.

you got about $10,000 invested in that setup with a $5 chair the man gives a lot of value to his working behind.

I know, what was I thinking??? I haven't found a chair that I like, and my kids use the computer alot so I don't want them destroying an expensive chair

Added another screen to my setup at home....

Sweet desk...I was going to get something similar but it wouldn't fit in my apartment...lol (I live in Japan ;) ).

As for my office setup...I ended up getting an EIZO 24" monitor and I LOVE IT...Its been great for everything from web browsing to watching vids and of course gaming (when I actually have time).

It takes a meaty graphics card to power this bad boy...I'm running an ELSA GLADIAC 790GTX and it has no problem powering anything at full screen/full rez/full options...

I was going to go for dual monitors but I realized I prefer one large...high rez...multi-purpose monitor.
