What's your mileage and are seeing any issues starting?

I've had my CX-9 for 14 months and have about 18,200 miles. It's been pretty good so far. Today we are having tons of rain and I noticed the belts are slipping when I had to go through deep water.

I wouldnt suggest ever driving through water deep enough to wet the belts. Anytime you submerge them they will slip.


Our mileage at 18000 is 19 city to 24 highway. Sport 2wd

I barely hit 700miles (1month) and quite frankly my mileage seems to suck. Please tell me that I need to get out of the breakout period for it to improve? I absolutely love it but thats the only negative thing to it.

33,000 miles, no issues, has not been to the dealer once.

The only the we don't like is the remote access and seat memory. Seems like no one does.

2008 (bought in Jan, 2008) with 10,000 miles. Been to repair shop once for rear windows assembly issue. (foams fell off blocking the glass rolling down - both rear windows).
Other than that, love it.
MPG around 17mpg (compared to 18mpg in my '01 Odyssey - same routes)

Have about 7K miles on my 2008 GTS. Using the ScanGauge 2 to measure mileage. Just drove down from Boston to NYC the other day and obtained about 22MPG for the trip.

Bought our Stormy Blue Mica CX-9 GT in February 2007. Ours is the FWD version w/RSES package, no moonroof or Nav. So far other than the TSBs for new headphones, rear seatbelt clips, and rear brake pads only routine service. (excellent dealer service BTW). Current mileage is 19000. I've been averaging between 18 - 19mpg with a best of 24mpg during a vacation trip to Michigan. I truly enjoy this Mazda almost as much as my Miata, but for entirely different reasons...(yes)

Purchased our AWD GT in April of 2007. It now has 28,000 trouble free miles, and my wife averages 17-18 mpg combined driving. When we take in on trips, we routinely get 22 mpg on the HWY. Very happy with our purchase.

Bought in June 1st 2007. It now has 17,700. I live in Olympia WA.
Three times to Vancouver Canada.
Once South Cali and Las Vegas (Total 3,200miles).
