^Really? You have not changed your timing belt yet? Oh boy....good luck.

155 000km on my 2002 P5. My wifes daily driver that she puts on about 600km a week. And that is with my wife taking a year off for materninty leave. And in December she is off for another year.

No major problems, mostly routine stuff

All dealer maintenance was done until 80 000km.
low beam lights replaced every other week
all oil changes at 8000km with synthetic
cai installed at 50 000km
Lift gate strut replaced at 60 000km.
interior light stopped working at 90 000
timing belt replaced at 100 000
stock tires replaced at 100 000 w/ fuzion zr1
Artic alpine on steelies for winter
coolant flush at 100 000km
rear windshield wiper motor and washer pump broke at 125 000km (still not repaired due to ridiculous high cost of replacement motor)
new rotors and brakes at 140 000km went with brembo blanks and hawk pads

Still drives great and smiles at every corner.

151,384 miles

I can't say it was all me (bought the car used last year.). But from all the receipts I found, serviced at the dealer :)

I have 92,XXX on mine currently, although, due to the good ol warranty, I have approx 50k on the engine and about 35k on tranny.. Bought it with 13 miles on it, lol and the last part of my sequential government issued license plate reads "HEX". No wonder why my car has been through hell and back.

I spend my time driving, no time to post up.. Check my member date.. I've been here a while, just lurking.

Actually my wife spends most of the time driving it, and I drive my Mustang. I drop in here from time to time for tips and maintenance info. I spend way too much time on other forums that I find few minutes to post here with the exception of milestone moments like the 160,000 roll..

Because when it does break your valves and camshaft don't move any more and your piston smashes into the valves that are still open. Bye bye piston, valves, head etc, alot more than $600

I believe they're non-interference motors, so this wouldn't happen...

Not sure if it is non-interference, but I wouldn't want my timing belt to snap and find out whether or not stuff will hit!

EDIT: I stand corrected, they should be fine, our engines are non interference!

My Mercury Mystique was a non-interference engine also and the belt broke on it at 125k well needlessly to say that was the end on that engine. However a few people at CEG have had their belt break and nothing happen. So I guess I wasn't so lucky in that since. So I guess what I'm trying to say dont chance it if you can.
