whats the worst that has happend to your 3?

Definitely you've won!

For my case, it was my wife driving at the time the accident happens. It is an intersection with 2 left turn lane. It was raining and the road is wet. She was turning left from the right hand left turn lane after the traffic light goes green. Just after she finish her turn, a van appears on her left hand side, a little bit out of control (probably try to run the green light), hit the left front of the car. There is a flat-bed truck parking on the right hand lane, and the end result is our 3 is stuck at the rear of the truck.

She is so scared at that time 'cos she is 3 month pregnant at that time (nailbyt). It was last year and now she and my son is healthy and happy :D.

Try getting t-boned by an F-150 going 45 mph, then we can talk about bad things that have happened in a Mazda3.

At least it didn't feel any pain (although you probably did!). It's much better when it goes quick, rather than having it die slowly after 4 weeks of intensive care and great expense at a body shop. That can be emotional.

Glad tou hear your family is alive and well! Also glad the 3 saved their lives!

Luckily the worst thing that happened to mine was minor and self inflicted. Had one too many, someone parked too close to my garage, and my male mentality got the best of me. I *almost* made it perfectly back into my garage spot.

$650, a door and a rear quarter pannel being repainted and undented later......

Ugh... on Friday, my client's daughter backed into my 3 with the brand new Prius she had received for her 18th birthday the day before.

The prius had 19 miles on it - cracked the crap out of the rear bumper cover.

My driver's door sustained an ever-so-slight indentation that is barely noticeable even when running your fingers over it, and the tiniest of scratches that I simply buffed out today.

Apparently, it costs about $3000 to replace a bumper cover on a Prius.

She only made it 19 miles . . . Can't imagine all the teenage girls that have these little fender benders that go unreported. Glad to hear your 3 wasn't damaged too bad.

Same thing happened to me when I was driving my moms leased lexus (thank god) to pick up my sister from high school. 16 Year old girl left a very expensive bump in my rear bumper.

What's crazy is the EXACT same thing happened to my pathfinder when I bought it in 2003. Some 17 year old girl backed into it with her dad's brand new Audi. She hit my rear bumper and just did some superficial scratching to the bumper.

Both of these occurred about 6 months after purchase... bizarre.

edit: the poor girl actually went door to door on my street to find out who owned the truck she has just hit. It actually made my day that the girl was so honest about it.

well the worst for me has to be the valves in my head on my 04 Mazda 3 S started rattling really bad. the head is shot but ive found one off an 05 im getting for $250 thats in awesome shape. i just gotta call a few places to get the work done to fix the car. i just hope i didnt do any more damage to the motor other than the head....

I'm in Louisiana on vacation and we took my sisters Mazda5 I left my 3 at my house and I had parked it with the front pointing towards the road... One of the guys that lives across the street was drunk and tried to drive backed his RX-8 into my front bumber and caught it and ripped it off. Don't ask me how this happened my boyfriend isn't even taking pictures so it must look bad. I just got my 3 back from the t-bone accident and now it's going back into the shop... the RX-8 guy is MIA but he left his car attached to mine and halfway in the road still on when the cops got there... I'm really angry at myself because I should have put the 3 in the garage with my S40 but left it out so it would look like someone was home. If I can get Will to take pictures I'll have them up, I know a neighbor took some while the RX-8 was trying to eat my 3.

Last December ... about a year ago today actually --

A tree fell in my driveway onto my car. I tried to tell the insurance to total it, but they were hellbent on fixing it. About $12,500 in damages and another $5,000 in removal of the tree, car rental for a month, then again for two weeks, and some other misc. stuff -- like the moonroof deflector when it wasn't ordered with the original parts.
