Whats the Trade in Value of MSP?

Brian dealers wouldn't aution a car this new. Auctions are for older car and cars with high mileage. They are trying to make money off of your trade. You know they are gonna sell it for at least 18K....

Actually they probably would auction it off. Most dealers want vehicles on their lots that they can easily move and still make a decent profit. Here in MD you would probably only get about 12-13K for a trade in on an MSP if you are lucky. They are selling brand new for well under 19K brand new plus there are all kinds of rebates and incentives.

How many do you still see on the lots... MSP's are a rare find all over the country. Look at edmunds and KBB.... they quote a little high. Once you can't buy one new it makes it hard to say I can buy a new one for whatever... oh yeah I sell cars for a living....

With a good salesman a MSP is a easy sell. 1 They are not everywhere. 2. not to many people know about them (makes them an impluse buy). BTW Mazdas incentives have change the rebates for the msp are gone....(there is a little dealer cash though)

I'll be trading my MSP in June. Not that I don't love the car but just need a break. I've already spent like $4,000+. I've already sold the Protosport Downpipe, custom 2 1/2 exhaust piping, Tsudo Carbon Fiber Titanium Tip muffler, and MIL eliminator to a guy on the forum from LA. I also already sold my Arospeed Carbon Fiber wing to a guy out here in Vegas. I want to bring my car as close to stock before I trade it in. Out here in Vegas I can get $15,000 for my MSP with 11,000 miles. Since I'm trading it in for a $30,000+ SUV I'll be negotiating to give me at least $16,500 which is what Edmunds appraised my car. If not then I'll just walk out to a different dealer. Let me know how your trade in goes VA.

Here in MD there are at least 2 on almost every Mazda dealer's lot. Some have as many as 5-10. They have all colors available....blue, yellow, and titanium. They are not as popular here as they used to be.

You should have no problems getting more than average on your trade-in since you are purchasing a 30K plus vehicle. The dealer has much more room to negotiate in your circumstances. Good Luck with your new SUV!

Well I guess you don't want to trade it in up there. Drive to Fl to trade it in... Don't trade it in to a mazdaspeed dealer. Remember you have to sell your trade to the dealer.

FYI, Mazdaspeeds have 0% APR for 60 months OR $2500 rebate until March 1. At least up here....in the MD area.

i just tried to look up the MSP in our blackbook (i work at a dealership)...they're not even listed! so they'll probably shop it around for a trade-in value...or check the going price at auctions.

I have a 3" Apexi exhaust cat back, 3" Apex catless DP, Injen CAI, Ion FMIC. The UR CRANK Pulleys Eibach Sportlines 1.8" drop, Greddy Profec B II, Greddy TT, but havnt decided if those are staying on the car.

I am interested in the apex downpipe and the apexi exhaust, and the UR Crank pulleys. If you would like to sell let me know. Another thing what car are you thinking of replacing the speed? STi?

a local dealer sold an orange speed around here for, at auction, for just under $10,000 :(

I would be interested in the front mount intercooler, and the greddy TT, maybe even the crank pulleys and 1.8 drop. If you could give me a price that would be sweet. Just message me. Thanks,

Matt

I was considering trading my car in for either the EVO or the STI. Im not sure which one I want yet but I know that I do want the AWD. Ive had fun with the MSP, and the mods that I have done to it have given it much potential. I was able to beat a wrx, rsx-s, and a gts celica. I even raced my friends NSX with it and did pretty well. But the AWD has grown onto me. I may even wait till the VW R32 comes out. Just keep looking on the forum for me as regards to the parts. PM me if intersted. Thanks

^--- I've been in contact with Fairfax VW. They are supposedly getting a R32 in Feb. some time. I'm on the list to *ahem* check it out! :D

those VW R32 are seriously sick especially after the stage 2 turbo upgrade that you can get giving that beast like 500+ HP thats SICK. Oh yeah VA Protege I am very interested in you ION FMIC hit me up with a price.

didnt read all of the post but i got 25k for my trade in even tho the local dealership was selling them new for 17k. The dealer ship i traded in my car to was the first one that i have dealt with that actuall GAVE me some money for all the performance stuff i had done
