I searched and could not come up with anything (gun)

Has anyone put thse up head to head and have dyno graph comparisons? I'm looking to get one soon and would like to see which one is the best bang for the buck.

CAI:
Mazdaspeed
Injen
AEM
F5
CPe

SRI:
Cobb
CPe

I'm missing a few. If it were up to you.. which one would you buy?

CPE SRI. Cobb ***** up fuel trims.

That said, CAI will give you the most gains on a dyno, but you will hydrolock it on the way home... ;)

lol ooooh boy, here we go again...

Yes you will hydrolock your car with a cai if you take the shortcut through the lake.

Not to mention that a CAI is more of a pita to install and costs about $100 more than a SRI.

I was leaning towards a mazdaspeed CAI, just cause it's a mazdaspeed part.. lols

but wouldn't mind purchasing something else if it's a better bang for the buck.

I have to say, I love my Nano. Great noises, and it hasn't messed with fuel trims. 2 guys on here have the cobb, like it, but their LTFTs are swinging around more than they like...

i have the MSCAI. currently running in SRI mode right now. up to around 120 SRI and CAI are equal in performance but in the TOPEND CAI pulls more.

i raced my friend in his MS3 when he got his CPE Nano(i was running CAI mode) and we were even until about 110-120 then i would began to pull ahead after 120.

but i was jealous at how loud his turbo spool was and mine you couldnt hear at all, just the sucking of the CAI. so i switched my MSCAI into SRI mode. and the turbo spool is pretty loud(high pitch screaming/whitsle sound) depending on how you have your BOV tuned.

we raced again when i was in SRI and i sacrificed TOPEND. we were dead even the whole way(drivers racebig time)

love my MSCAI, better bang for buck being that i can switch between CAI and SRI mode. just make sure you get the AEM Air flow str8ner

I'm still leaning towards the Mazdaspeed one, but i really do like the Cobb and the CPe SRI.

Cobb is great quality. Subaru owners have had great success with their products for a long time now. I'd go Cobb SRI. **** the CAI. Just go SRI and get the Cobb FMIC.

I have the cp-e CAI and its been awesome.. i kinda want to trade it for the cobb sri though.. i've heard nothing but good about it.

not another one of these...

dyno has shown that CAI will make more power and always will, and its been proven youd have to drive our car through a lake/deep as puddle to hydrolock.

if cars were so easily hydrolocked, why would people use seafoam? or any other kind of engine cleaners?

I know, I'm gonna disagree with the guy that claims CAI give you better top end than a SRI. I got a 2 mile higher constant average trap speed at the drags with a SRI over a CAI.

thats not really "top end" though. Traps are what 103-105? top end is 120+

doesnt matter which. both are great. if you want a bit more of a bump in power go with the CAI.
