whats next?

ok, i've put new rims, new tires, an oil catch tank, TEIN suspension, a fuel pressure regulator, apexi sparks and air filter with a DIY intake, 4-2-1 jasma headers with a twister exhaust and a strut bar.

so what do you suggest for next? my engine is 1.6L and i dont plan going on forced induction (at least not for now). i was thinking for my next step a lightened crank pulley or flywheel-pressure plate-new disc. http://www.flyinmiata.com/index.php?deptid=4531&parentid=0&stocknumber=08-36005

How about hosing down the engine? ;)

Do the newer 1.6's still use a CAS? If so, advance the timing a bit.

Have you considered a roll bar such as the Hard Dog Hard Core?

yes a roll bar is in my summer plans :) isnt it a bit dangerous advancing the timing? i'm cleaning it soon before the next cyprus miata club meeting :P

Advance to 14-16* BTDC, run premium fuel (91-93) and you'll be fine.

I don't think a strut bar is necessary the rear.

What TEIN setup do you have now?

If anything upgrade your front sway bar.

I run the Tein SS.

Anywho, sway bars, end links, member brace?

hehe, you said member. :D

right. anyway, subframe bracing is definately a plus. It's likely you could use a larger front sway while completely removing the rear as such a combination with such a shock/spring combo will yeild predictable and neutral handling.

I'm guessing you don't have one :)

I didn't think it'd do anything either... but then again I was skeptical when i ordered my front strut bar... and thats what started my whole suspension quest.

how about you drive the damn thing?

that's already done. unfortunately we dont have a track in cyprus so we drift in parking places :P

for now i dont need any more suspension mods. the rollbar and probably aftermarket brake discs will set on till summer. the thing is that i need a few more hp so it can spin more easily. sooooo any suggestions for some extra hp?

In my opinion, you can never have too many suspension mods.

How about a turbo?

i know it might sound funny but in cyprus the law is strict about car modifications. so i cant turbo a 1.6 mx5, only a 1.8 because there is stock turbo 1.8 . so i'll stick to normally aspirated until the law changes :(
