What's next? Can you say quad bi-xenon retro?

I've been thinking of what I want to do to raise the bar and do what no one else has done. I now realized what I have to do. Since I need to re-do my retro anyway, I'm going to do the impossible: quad bi-xenon projectors inside P5 headlights. Basically I think I'm going to use the main projectors in the low beam area for the standard high/low beam and then inside where the high beam bulb normally is will be another set of projectors for fog light use. The cutoff shield will be removed from the inside projectors so they can be true fogs. Please note that they will be mostly for show but can be useful when I'm alone on a dark road.

I might really just make the inside projectors useful too and have them running with the low beam and have quad high/low beam projectors, but I'm not sure if I want to do that wiring yet.

Stay tuned as this upgrade develops, I'll post as I acquire parts.

Yous crazy!?! I actually had this idea when I was thinking about a new fog setup after I put on my new MSP lip.

thats funny your doing this, i thought the same thing.

Was actually prolly going to do it to my fogs to start. Get projector and a hi/low kit.

Imagine having all 3 sets be high low. That would rock.

I said this awhile back ***** lol
Good luck with it though man.
If anything you could do sextuplet projectors lol one in the low and high and the turn signals.
That would some crazy s*** right there (laugh)

Not to burst your bubble Mattv, I have already done it. I have Lexus IS350 projectors in my foglight position and quad cadillac projectors in my high beam and low beam spots. All of them are bixenon and wired so that I have all work as low and high beam. The light output is quite nice!

that really funny in your last picture you have my current car but mines in black and my first car the cavalier which was exactly like that one lol
That looks really cool you just need to buff those headlights lol

Damn, that do look nice.

I'm a little worried that you might not have adequate light output though. Have you considered a rally light bar for those extra-dark roads?

Yeah I know it's a little excessive! The "fog" lights still work on the fog light switch, so I can turn them off or just use them, they are technically headlights still, just mounted a little lower. I was trying to do what MattV is trying to do, something new I hadn't seen anyone else do yet. That's why I have a 12" sub in my headliner as well, never seen it done!

The cavi is a coworkers, I took the pics this morning at work when I saw the thread. And I did buff the lights like a year and a half ago when I did my first retro with the audi style led's, looks like I need to buff again :(

I hate to burst YOUR bubble but your work looks like s***, thanks.

No offense but while your idea was executed, your technique for doing it is mediocre at best.

LOL come on here guys. Let's not ruin this thread. I hate it when people come in to crap on someone's parade. Ball's yea you did it cool leave it at that. I have done a dual projector setup on my Teg and will be doing another one on my MSP as well. I would like to see how Matt does his. Lets keep this clean.

OK maybe not projectors in the fogs, I'll just found some 3 1/2 round guys and put in a Hi/Low kit.

Definitely liking the quad hi/lows in the headlights though.

I cant see worth a s*** at night since my laser eye surgery. this should do the trick!

Matt, didn't mean it to sound like an f u, I was just excited that I had already done it. And yes, the fog covers didn't quite come out how I had wanted, the headlights did. It was rather overcast when I took the pictures with an old bad camera. The excecution I am rather happy with, I still have full adjustability of the headlights. It may not be the absolute best headlight retro around but that doesn't mean s*** on it. I have seen your work and it is quite good, please don't s*** on mine.
