whats a good oil

So if I wanted to get the 626 filter what car do I need to ask for when buying a filter at Napa?

i ran 3 quarts of pennzoil platinum and 1 quart of royal purple with a millenia pcv and 626 puralator pureone filter. tomorrow i will try 4 quarts of platinum with a p5 pureone filter. i dont think it'll be much of a difference but i havent had an oil change since last may. it has lasted a good while lol (bolt)

That's all I run is OEM 626 filters. Around 20% greater filtration area. Can is the same diameter, just longer.

I'm gonna try that 626 filter deal soon, sounds like a simple but good little upgrade for the oiling system.

For those who have used the 626 filter, do I get the one for the 4 cylinder or the 6 cylinder?

but only use 3.7 qt for the change.

I about flipped out when I only used that much oil! I made sure the car was on level ground, checked again and sure enough, thats how much I used also.

I use 5w 30 full synthetic CAM2 Synavex oil. I purchase the oil and a filter directly from a distributor. It made a noticeable difference in take off, acceleration in ALL GEARS (5 speed), and better gas mileage on my p5 with 88k miles.

5w30 Royal Purple or Mobil1 Synthetic. Thinking about getting few quarts of Amsoil Synthetic oil. I've been told the Amsoil oil is the best out there on the market.

back to the 626 filter.....

I talked to someone about it and they asked me: "does it seal up the same as the p5 one does?".

Well does it seal up good?

From what I've seen, the base is the same size and threaded, just a taller filter for holding more oil.
