What would be your dream setup for your MSP?

I agree with Txrxs to an extent. Change it to a twin turbo big-block chevy(572 ci should do it) in the front, a Richmond t-56, and a ford 9" positrac with 3.73 gears out back.

I've been working on pushrod v-8s for a while now, and I've never seen a Chevy 455, Olds 455 and Buick 455, and Pontiac 455, yes. I've also seen a Chevy 355, but not a 455. Would like to see one though. Do you know what the stroke is on that motor?

For starters:

Perrin FMIC or sidemount
Unichip
AWR mounts
***most likely to stop here***

then:
AEM standalone
Gator custom Axels
quaife LSD
CP pistons
Some thick ass rods Oliver
AEM UEGO wide band O2
Strong fixtures APR bolts and studs
T28RS "Disco potato"
Tubular manifold
Flywheel
clutch
recaro seats

IN my dreams:
Full Sport20 4WD tranny conversion
Cryogened gears
weld a roll cage...
Tripoint goodies...underbody tray?
what the hell experiement with a rotary

Isn't that Sonoma John Lingenfelter's?

If it is, its originally a 3rd gen Smallblock Chevy(The infamous LS1), bored out and stroked to 427ci(7 litres). I can't remember what kind of turbo he was using, but the truck is full time All Wheel Drive. It competed in Car and Drivers 10k horsepower shoot-out a few years back.

Bless you John Lingenfelter, you will be and are missed.

See, after I post that, I look again and it says right there exactly who's truck it is.........gawd I'm a DA(and I don't mean District Attorney)

Does this whole "putting a domestic engine in to an import" thing bother anyone else or is it just me?

Unless the domestic motor is in a DAtsun...I've seen a sick supercharged LS6 in a DAtsun 240.

And if its a Z cuz alot of people do that.

I was writing a reply but then realized that this isn't the thread to do so in. Threadjack off.

I always like these threads. You notice a few people with a wicked list of mods and then people without mods use the wicked list to go off of. (evil)

OPERATION TOPS3CR3T RESUMING.

Domestic engine shouldn't bother you.

The fastest drag cars in the world are American Pushrod V-8's
If I cared about "domestic muscle", I'd own one.

Stoneage technology of pushrod and carborated engines. Yeah its powerful but the fastest cars in the world that can take turns use direct ingection and overhead cams...F1! and foreign engines own! Honda Vtec, Ferarri, Mclaren and etc. Also import engines rule the rally scene nothing like 300 bhp and gravel.

Lots of european exotics use American engines...Chevy LS6s (Ultima) and Ford V8s (Koeinsegg) and V6 (Noble). But for average old joes like us...Import engines are just as good and more economical...I mean if you like getting like 10 mpg but 500 hp by all means go ahead. Dont forget the lotus elise is powered by toyota...hehehe
