What we saw at the CX-50 Tour

:
2020 CX-5 GTR
Nothing!!!

We drove 1 hour just to come to see the CX-50, but there is nothing!

We looked everywhere. No Mazda or CX-50. Just people skiing. Very disappointing.

I went up on Friday and didn't find them. Looking at the Reddit photos, I don't think they were anywhere near Central Express. I tweeted this on Friday with photos like OP, no response yet from Mazda.

Apparently they are in the area.

I guess that’s why I couldn’t find the car at the location written on the website. North Bend is over 20 miles away from the resort!!!

I saw Mazda reposted an instagramer driving the CX-50 around in the area yesterday.

This is bad. Loyal fans drive hours to see their car, then they don't show up at the location!

Mazda got back to me on Instagram. Even more confusing, because they were definitely not at Central Express. I showed them the 360 degree video I took that day next to Centeal Express.

They are tell me they are coming back to Snoqualmie next next weekend. The thing is I’m hesitant to go, because I’m worried they won’t be there again.

First of all, thank you for wanting to share your findings with this Community. Sorry to see that there wasn’t anything to share except an unfortunate experience so far…I wonder if Mazda realizes that Mazdas247 has been around longer than facebook, twitter and reddit…Perhaps reaching out to the Community here directly wouldn’t be a bad idea…Show appreciation for all the Mazda owners here that love their Mazda, care about the brand and help each other make the ownership experience that much better! As well as all the people who visit and or join the site here as prospective buyers or simply because they're interested in the brand or a particular model.

Looking forward to seeing your coverage of the CX-50…I really do hope it’s there for you this time!

If you do go, would you:
- bring a tape measure to measure front head room?
- see how the wireless phone charger is as it's a unique position
- how you like the arm rest where it opens in two
- how cool is that terracotta color in person and the pano roof?

And if anyone is there to answer questions
- can i-stop be set and forget, or button needs to be pushed at every start
- ask if you can take it for a test drive like they allowed some social influencers
- "body-colored power side-view mirrors" yet as so far I noticed they're always black

But dealers should be getting their 1 allocated Turbo Premium Plus soon too but there's something nice and real to see it outdoors vs in a showroom.

As long as you have the tape measure out, please measure cargo compartment height.

Ah, thank you, I missed that.

The tailgate opening is 1/4" taller than a Brute Trash can with lid. That's cutting it tight.

We had trouble finding them at first too because of how many different zip-line entry points there are. They are at the first exit ( West Snoqualmie Summit. You will follow the road all the way down to “Central”, past the firehouse and then a large car park. It’ll be in one of the last zip-line entrances on the right hand side. Tanner Way, I believe. It’s a bit confusing but they try to stage the cars where it won’t impede the bulk of skiers. You are looking for this wooden and stone building. It is the only one that looks like that at the resort. It would be easier to find if the entrances were not blocked by snow. It is what it is. The best day to see the cars is the 2nd day, as they are already situated. Hope this was helpful.
