You're dead on with the rest.

XL on a normal tire would mean it's an "extra load" and has a higher weight-carrying capacity. I don't know if that terminology applies to lo-pro tires, though. I'll see what I can find.

It looks like a Michelin. Kinda like the one that Rishie has/had on his widebody FC. But there's no way of knowing for sure.
