What to spend my money on?

I've got a new (3k miles) 2003 P5, sportronic transmission, and I'd like to get some more power out of it.

What can I do for about $1k-$1.5k? What's the best to do if I've got that kind of budget and what kind of performance am I going to be able to get? I want to keep my warranty, so I guess I'd like to hear about stuff that I can get done at the dealer - unless I can get a *whole* lot more/better stuff elsewhere.

If I decided to say "to hell with the cash" and went turbo, what all would I need to get me into a decent/entry turbo setup? How much would it cost? What kind of performance is this going to get me?

I'd appreciate any input.

Thanks,
Patrick

Okay well www.flyinmiata.com is now working on a turbo kit for our automatic transmissions although that will cost you around 3700 without installation! My suggestion is to get Injen CAI, either the Greddy Evo Cat Back or the JIC SUS exhaust and plaugs/wires. Then save up some more and get some lowering springs or you could just use all your money on a set of JIC FLT-A2 Coil Overs. :D

for keeping the warranty...

get the mazdaspeed/ FS-ZE intake and exhaust cams, get the mazdaspeed exhaust, hmmm, get the mazdaspeed suspension. :D

and if your dealer aint a bunch of dicks then you can ask if they will install an injen CAI.

What am I going to get from the intake and exhaust cams? Can you give some ballpark numbers? How about the CAI? How's the mazdaspeed suspension better/different from stock?

Thanks,
Patrick

edit: I knew turbo would be about $3.5-$4k, but I wasn't sure if that was for everything I'd need or if I'd want/need more in the exhaust or other areas to really get the turbo working right. I was asking as if I didn't have a budget to worry about if I decided to go turbo.

Fair enough.

Can you guys at least point me in the general direction of how to find this info? I can find all the parts easily enough, but what I want to find out is what each part means as far as performance and what it's doing to achieve that performance. Also, I don't know what parts should be used together in order to best enhance my performance.

Thanks,
Patrick

intake exhause headers -=) but that is prolly by by warranty if your dealer is a dickface.. or as edwin would call them.. a fucktard. LoL..

Hey Patrick, $1k to $1.5k to spend? Why, of course the perfect place to spend it is ON ME!!!!

Just kidding, 1.5k will get you intake and exhaust cam, intake, intake manifold and/or exhaust depends on which one you're planning to get. But you'll max out just on parts without the install.

I saw an entry turbo system going for less than $2k. Someone familiar with turbo system for P5 will be more then happy to explain in detail for you than me.
