What to do?

Howdy y'all,
I just (3 days back) made a purchase of a Protege from 2001. I have some plans for her as this is going to be my primary vehicle, but just wondering if any of you guys have done the mods/fixes and if so your tips would be really appreciated.

1. The lock on the passenger side door is busted the only way to lock it is to put the lock down before you close the door and then when you close the door you have to hold the outside handle as if you were opening it when you close it. Really painful. Any tips or tricks to getting it back working or does it sound like I need a whole new lock on that side?

2. I plan on fitting a slim bonnet scoop, anyone done this and if so did you encounter issues?

3. I'm going to wrap the bonnet, body kit and spoiler in 3M Carbon Fibre Wrap.

4. And lastly but not least i'm re fabricating the entire inside from a light grey to a dark grey/black, so has anyone ever upholstered a rear seat or any seat for that matter if so please let me know as I have some questions.

Door lock actuator is probably bad inside the door, easy to fix. I'm not a fan of stickers and tacked-on fake scoops, and you shouldn't be either. The Mazdaspeed, ES, and Protege5 hatchbacks had black interiors in the US, i'm sure you can find black interior pieces or dye them yourself.
