Honda's Factory Performance. They have springs, wheels, wheels, lip kit and I think thats all for now. I am getting the HFP lip kit in a few months. Not drastic but it stands out a little more. Little pricey but oem quality. It's around 1300 installed at a dealer.

LOL Sorry

I only have an CAI on it. Sounds so mean....
Other than that we put an HID kit on it too.

The Speed3 does not have anything yet.

You lucky lucky man. Unfortunatley, some of us don't have a tree that prints $100 bills :)

Someday, someday.........

I'm sure its not luck. You probably work real hard for your cash and enjoy it, either that or you're in debt up to your eyeballs! :)

Either way, If I were you, I'd sleep in my garage and just cuddle with those 2 awesome machines.

Which do you drive more? Be honest.

Yeah you can say both. No I have bills but only 1 car payment. So that is nice.

No too hot in the garage.

Having owned both, you can't go wrong with either car. Putting all the "who goes faster than who" aside, another factor to look at is being comfortable. If the car is for your wife and like most ladies, they like taking there friends with them when they go shopping bla bla bla, then hands down the Mazda. The new Si has very minimal room in the back to include low ceiling height with the wonderful slope of the rear roofline. I sat in the back of one and my head hit/rubbed the ceiling and I'm only 5' 10". When I buy a car I think about my passengers as well and I walked from the Si for that very reason alone without even looking at the remainder of the car. My 99 Si had allot more room in the back then the current model. It is a very well built car but... Also if this is for your wife, why not get her a standard 3? Unless she is into performance I'm sure a regular 3 would meet all her needs.

Good luck!

Another thing to take into affect is resale value. Resale on a Honda is much better than a Mazda. So if you are not planning on driving it til it dies than this may be a factor too.
I recently bought an '07 SI coupe and I love it. My previously owned cars were a 90 Protege an 02 ES Protege and an '03 MSP. I just wanted to try another company. One thing I did notice is the price of the Mazdaspeed 3 is very tempting. Any car with close to the hp that car has is close to 30k range if not over. What did Mazda do differently to get it to be that cheap. Did they cut some corners like they did in the MSP. The engines in the 3's are great engines. But I am already seeing some things reminiscent of the MSP cars with motor mount issues and some other quirky things. I'm not saying that my SI is going to be trouble free but it's a Honda and they have been out for a while. In the end it's what makes you happy.

I agree with you that the Si is a very well designed car, unfortunately, I had a 2006, and I had one with the initial bugs, another great reason why it got traded... it was on it's way to 22k miles in 8 months (I was tranferring out of the USMC, changing jobs, moving, etc.). But I ran into the annoying 3rd gear grind which the dealer "couldn't hear" therefore wouldn't fix. The 06 (not sure on the 07) would barely run in the cold without a good 10 minute warm up... plus the kid puked up milk in his car seat and got it on the floor so it smelled (doh) , but I definitely like the more room on the interior, I have already ran into multiple uses for the hatch extra room.

Granted my MS3 has been in for some warranty work, at least they are fixing everything I tell them too... and then checking out all kinds of other stuff while its in there. I loved both cars, I just love the lower profile of the Mazda and the extra room... not to mention... as stated multiple times... THE TORQUE!!

One other thing.. anyone who says the Civic gets better gas mileage... they are crazy... if you get one/drive one... those things are damn near impossible to keep OUT of Vtec.... they just make you want to rev it to hell and back because it comes crawling back to do it all over again!

Thanks everyone for your comments!!!!!!!!!! My wife is a stick driver all her life (50 yr old) and she likes to go fast, so far no tickets because she is a R.N. and cops always let her go. Don't ask me how she does it because i haven't figure it out yet. We both can get a employer discount on both car's so i will let her drive both car's so she can make up her mind and get rid of that crap matrix xrs 6sp. Thank you for all your comments and remember zoomzoom everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(burnout)

Oh agreed. With the CAI on the SI I have a hard time not pushing it just to hear the deep grown from the engine.

I didn't even get far enough to get an intake... and it still sounded awesome, but I love the sound of the turbo through the CAI intake on my MS3 too.
