The snow isn't what the Dunlops were meant for. They are high performance summer tires and judging any summer tire by its performance in the snow isn't a great comparison. Sorry guys, but I just had to throw my thoughts in there.

I know that...I'm just saying that the Kuhmo, for a summer tire, handles to the wet roads better than the Dunlop did.

Summer tire = summer. Snow tire = snow.

I can't justify spending over $300 on snow tires for the five days of actual snow on the roads here. Granted the cold air temp has an effect on the tire as well, its not as noticeable as when they are in snow.

So, I stick to my purchase. Good tire, good price, better than the Dunlop.

personally I have a set of snow tires for these damn MN winters, although not really any snow yet, still got my dunlops slapped on, but am looking forward to burning up my dunlops and putting on some spec 2's

88w vs 84w.... does that mean it won't fit or what?

This is the service load rating and rates how much weight the tire can support at it's rated inflation pressure. The higher the number, the more weight is supported. Not that big of a deal, it's only about a 100 lb difference per tire from 84 to 88 and our Dunlops already support the weight of a 4800 lb car (or the stress in a turn up to that weight). The W is a speed rating.

You just don't want to go too low otherwise the sidewalls will collapse on you.

Ordered my Falken tires today. Going to get them put on Tuesday!

Go with the Yoko's specs 2, or Pirelli Pzero 205/45/16.

Got the Falkens put on today. VERY NICE. I think they look great and feel even better. Let's hope they won't wear as quick as those darned dunlops (knows they won't) hehe. I'll put some pics upnext week!
