What tint should I get?

So. I found a reputable professional tinting shop that isn't too far away. They can pretty much put ANYTHING I want on my MSP.

The thing is, I can't figure out exactly what I want.

I've looked at pics on here, and I'm having trouble putting a finger on what would look the best on my Titanium. I've managed to narrow it down to three options, though:

1.) 20% tint all around -- all four doors, rear window, and a strip across the windshield. I MIGHT go a bit darker on the back doors, rear window, and windshield strip.
2.) silver-fade-to-black -- all four doors and rear window if possible. I'm not sure if this can be done on our rear windows, can it? If it can, then this option remains; if not, then I don't want it done. I want a uniform look, and I think it'd look retarded to have the door windows with the effect and the rear window just straight black.
3.) some type of combination reflective/black tint -- I've seen it before, but I haven't the slightest idea what the official name for it is. When you look at the windows without a good light source, they appear black; but if the sun strikes it or if it's a bright day, it's reflective. But it's NOT the obnoxious/ghetto/ricey/ugly all-out mirror tint.

If anyone knows what 'Option #3' is called, please let me know, because I believe that's what I'm leaning towards getting. I want dark uniformity, but I also do like the reflective look -- without turning it rice.

And pics are always welcome!!

I have 15% all around, black tint... no silver s***... and i have a 5% sunstrip... let me find some pictures...

i'm getting 28% Quantum tint done tomorrow.
It is slightly reflective, but not mirrored.
It's like a gloss black.

Best way to do that, is have a sunstrip done, then tint the entire windshield, then it's very hard to tell that the windshield is tinted itself.

15% all around in florida

hey i got 15% all around and i'm in florida and it's perfect trust me, at night it looks like black paint!

I already told you my opinion Cindy.

20% all around or if you choose a different %, at least get the same thing everywhere. It looks better when it's consistent.

If at all possible, get 3M & not LLumar...I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

I'm including my best tint pics as an example.

Dont get any tint that fades from silver to black. In the past this type of tint would fade over 2-3 years and look purple since it has a dye in it.

Thanks for all the replies, guys!

I go in tomorrow to get the tint done .. and I'm about 99% sure I'm gonna go for the 20% all around. Might go a bit darker on the windshield strip, but nothing too dramatic.

I'll make sure t'post pics when it's finished! :D

just don't get silver. i'd also try to stay legal, it sucks having to take them off after you paid money to get them put on

they make a tint called cool chrome, its NOT reflective or shiny. it almost looks like a titanium color and at 35% (which is legal here) looks so good. blends awesome with the titanium speed, which a freind of mine has, and i have the yellow 2003.5 with the same tint, looks much better than limmo or any other color in my opinion. ask if they have it or can get it and have them put a sample on your car. you will not be disappointed. i even did my windsheild (which is not legal) but i didn't go as dark as 35%. Maybe this is your option 3? It's Llumar Platinum Plus (35%) Legal here in GA. I love it. Lifetime warrantee, garenteed not to fade/crack/peel/bubble etc. etc. Hope that helps

And after much debate and readin' your suggestions and talkin' to the people at the shop and lookin' at a million samples .. I went with 15% all around, including the strip on the top of the windshield.

And it is Teh_Sexy!! .. I'll take pics tomorrow after I get it washed up. :D

Goddammit, I spent a shitload of time washin' up the car .. and when I finally got all finished .. had a sudden and spontaneous thunderstorm. And that lead into the fact that it's been raining for the last two days. Rrrgh.

But at least the tint's settled now, so in some of the pics I'll be able to roll the windows down a bit.

As long as the weather doesn't look TOO threatening tomorrow, I'll polish up the MSP yet AGAIN and have the pics posted!
