Hi everyone, Im new here (first post) and Im Mexican so my english is far from perfect. Here we go...
I have a 2010 Mazdaspeed3 and I have already started to "upgrade" some parts:
I bought an AEM CAI (installed).
I have an HKS SSQV3 Recirculating Valve, Cobb Downpipe and Corksport Front and Rear Mount Inserts "in the mail".
Im planning to get a Turbo Inlet Pipe, Hypertechs Max Energy Sport (when it comes out), shifter bushings, a Protege Garage Tubular Turbo Manifold and Denso Iridium ITV22 Spark Plugs.
Ok, as for this thread...
Im not lowering the car, Im keeping the stock 18" wheels that I really like and Im getting a set of Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110.
What I need is to get the most rubber that I can (better grip), better comfort (the stocks Dunlops are very very hard and noisy), if the tire is a little larger in diameter it is going to fill the gap better and at the same time it is going to give me a little more protection from potholes and stuff (we have a lot of this, and also every kind and size of speed bumps that can be very hard on the rims).
So, what size do you guys recomend?. I was thinking 235/40. But you are the experts, I dont know if a 235/45 or 245/40 would fit or be too much. I think the 245s would be way too wide and probably would hit the fenders or something else, they may not even fit in the rims (but Im just guessing...) ...
Remember, more rubber to the ground, better hit protection, a little better filling of the gap, more comfortable, but dont want to go overboard or a size that hits the fenders, something that you guys would do to your own car.
Well too much talking (in this case writting) and Ill really appreciate all of your opinions.
Thanks a lot!.
