What should I buy?

Toyota Camry
Well, I sold my Vibe today. Now I need to buy a new used vehicle that I'll drive until I get a 2008 Mazda5 next summer.

What should I get? I don't want to spend more than $3000. I'll be driving it about 15 miles a day to work so I just need something reliable and easy on gas. I know an early-mid 90s Accord, Civic or Camry is a good option. Is there anything else I should look at?

civic tall wagon would fit the bill

Miata, MR2 but if you have a family or need more seats look into them Civics or Camry. I would rather a Camry IMO.

I have a 5MT Honda Civic, boring and slow but great for commuting (32-37MPG and very reliable). You may find a good deal (97/98) on that price range (DX or LX). If you like the idea check that the timing belt has been replaced just to be safe (around 60K if I remember) as the repair can be pricy for those "old" models.

I might go with a 1994 Integra GS-R sedan. It's got 200K miles but seems to be well taken care of.

Oh yes, get the Integra! My mom just quit driving her 1990 with 295,000 miles on it. Aside from the fact that the air conditioning was having some trouble it still drove like a dream. We were going to take it as a commuter car but someone left a note on it saying they wanted to buy it so my parents sold it for $800.

I loved my 1990 4-door Integra, first car I bought with my own money - unfortunately someone plowed into me about 2 years after I got it and totalled it. Favorite car ever.

I bought the Integra for $2,000. Here are a few pics. It drives well and seems to be mechanically sound. The interior is in great shape but the exterior has the typical Acura/Honda rust and flaking clear coat.

Looks good for a 94, and for the time and purpose you need it, it should serve you well.

Wait a minute, I thought you were showing the interior of a Civic! :D, LOL.

Funny, during that time it seems that Acura was just passing old model designs to Honda after 3-4 years. Just check this 1999 5MT Civic interior (I just found this gray interior pic on the Web though, but they also have your Acura color):

Hold on, Acura still does that for Honda. Damn car family (yawn)

Not a bad price for a GSR integra even with the exterior condition and 200k. Big plus being a 5spd. That car has alot of pontential if you plan on modding it even with 200k.

my best friend is jealous of you, he drives a RS coupe.

im jealous of your 8k rpm redline =P enjoy that car.
