Depends on your state. you can look it up on your DMV website.

Is'nt front tint in Cali illegal?

But, if you have some type of medical reason you can have as dark tint as you want, with in reason, as long as you have proof you need it.

got 15% on mine or just below....hard to see out the back at night though. got 35% on the wife's ride and it is a lot easier.

I had 15% all the way around(except windshield of course) and I got a tint warning. I replaced the front with 35% and haven't had problems since. The 15% up front was a pain in the ass to see out at night IMO.

25% all arround. In Texas you can tint the back as dark as you want but the front two have to be above 20%. if not no inspection sticker for you! I would know cuz I do state inspections. Haha

I was hoping you guys would post pix of your cars so i can see the level of tint with the % marked so i can figure out what % to redo mine.

thanks zack for doing what i wanted =oD Love the rims on your car btw

I had asked for 15% on my MSP .. but I'm pretty sure it was something like 10%. The one time it was metered when I was pulled over, it came up 7%. Either way, it was too dark.

I have 20% on my G35 now .. I think it's perfect. I know these pics aren't of tint on a MSP, but you can still get a decent idea for the shade of it.

my bad, thought you said something about wanting to stay legal, so I di a quick research job of the state laws. I'd post pics of mine, but the windows are dark from all the dust.
