What kinda times should I be running at the track?

Well Im hoping to hit the track next week on open street night, and I wanna see what you guys think I should be running. All my mods are in my sig, and I have the stock tires on still with about 60% tread left on them. Assuming decent weather conditions and a good launch, what should my car be able to hit???

Thanks Guys!

Yeah 11psi, spool stage 2 fmic, intake, Bosal cat-back exhaust, Kartboy shifter bushings, AWR front Motor mount, NKG copper plugs, Greddy RS BOV

check out one of your other threads, jeffmsp laid it out pretty well he said:
"ok heres the deal on the reflash.the MSP runs very rich. rather than fix the problem by adjusting the air/fuel ratios, Mazda opted to advance the timing to try and bandaid the problem. Not that bad of a fix if you are not planning on modding(though not perfect by any means, but it does help smooth out the power somewhat from what ive felt driving a 03.5) Because it advances the timing, you are able to make more power with less boost, however if you ever wanted to run over 10psi(which is not advisable on the stock bottom end) then you would be screwed without racegas, methenol injection or a fuel AND timing controller(from what ive gathered). I would not even run over 8-9 without at least a dsm afc on the flashed computer. If you end up picking up the MAM block you will be kicking yourself because you wont be able to run more boost safely on the flashed ECU so it sort of defeats the purpose, then again why would you want to run a stock ECU on a built motor? sorry if that made everything confusing. IMO get the car flashed, (free) buy dsms afc(in your price range) stay at 9-10 psi and start saving for a MAM block and better EMS like MPI, Haltec, etc."
Hope this helps, it helped me out anyhoo.

Should I do the ECU reflash or should I stay unflashed due to the higher psi I am running?

You will not get over 14.7 with just a catback exhaust. There is no way I would run 11 psi with those two cats restricting my flow.

yea i'd say a 14.8 or so....remember to drop down your tire psi to like 23 psi.

11 psi is alot to run on your engine without management, especially with a mbc.

Good driver: less than 14.39
Average driver: 14.999
Poor driver: 15+ seconds
Good luck make sure your car is in tip top shape for the best time.

depending on your elevation, you should run mid to high 14's, i would say probably a 14.6 depending on traction. Its not as easy as you think, you have to work the tree to get a good reaction time.... goodluck buddy!

So at the track you want no slip of the front tires right? It seems I can pull off the line a little faster if I let them chirp just slightly.
Also, last time I was at the track (not racing) it seemed they hit the gas right as the last yellow was about to go. The reaction time and 1/4 time starts the instant that green hits but to get like a .1 reaction you want to start on end of last yellow. Hope this makes sense... dunno, maybe it was just that track.... but that is what it seemed. For those that have run tracks many times... what has been your experience? Thanks!

remember,if you launch to soon, you will red light it,if your racing someone, you lost.

they just seem like they are launching on yellow, they are just pushing the limits on R/T's

for the best 60 foot time yo uwant to have your power under control, try as hard as you can to not slip the tires, but on a great launch, you will have a tiny spin.
