It's called a deck lid and they're expensive if ordered through the dealer (upwards of $200). Best bet - junk yard. This is one of those items I've seen asked about a hundred times and they are hard to find apart from the dealer. I wanted to get one but with the rear window tint you really can't see anything back there anyway.

^on sunny days you can still se right in, at least on my car. but you can check the forsale section. once in a blue moon you can find them. i think ive seen one go up for sale in the past couple of months

They might be called hatch lids. I've also heard "cargo covers". At any rate the price was (as of a couple years ago) in the $230-250 range.

I take it you bought the car used from a private party that took it out? Usually the car should come with the hatch lid. I might be sellin mine sometime, that is if I get my windows tinted. You can pretty much still see through the back on a sunny day but I really dont care because I have a pretty good alarm system. If I do sell it though I will tell you, that is of course if you don't find one before that or if you just lose interest. Just contact me at soccaplayano5@msn.com. haha that is awesome...

I do lose that cargo cover. I do a lot of fishing so i put my fishing gear under it and then rest my fishing rod and reel on that cargo cover, its awesome.

There was one in my Escort hatch, back in the day. Once, I drove somewhere with a friend, with his 160lb dog in the back seat. At a stop light, the dog decided to jump up on the shelf so he could see out the back window. I had enough time to see this in the mirror and say Gregor, n... and then he vanished into the trunk. It messed up the cover, but it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen!
