what is the stock turbo's limit on the ms3?

im still breaking in the motor. My exhaust was supposed to be here 3 days ago. If I get it by wednesday, ill have it installed and then my car will go in for tuning. If everything goes as planned i should make in between 400-500whp. Im keeping my fingers crossed.

Oh and it's a K04 not TD04 it's a german turbo used mainly in VAG cars. and you can reach over 300whp with it.

Cool. But now my question is why the hell cna't the srt-4's get to 300 whp on them that easily with a 2.4 litter but we can on a 2.3. To answer my own question a little i know the srt-4s run 8:1 compression so thats explains some of it i guess.

and in IMO our cars have more lag stock then an srt-4. I don't know I guess im mad that its a TD04. Why can't anyone use a td05?

8:1 is amazing for boosted cars. My buddy was hitting 511fwhp on an srt4 stock engine. The stock turbo design on that car was horribly flawed with the integrated turbo and manifold. you can't compare the same turbo car to car otherwise you would ask why the GTi only makes 200hp on the same turbo and the Audi makes 50 more on the same engine and turbo. there is alot more involved than just the mechanicals. The Mazda uses a K04-22 HO once used on S4's.
 
yeah its the compression thing. the reason srt-4s don't make 300whp easily stock but can throw on gt-30's on the stock motor and make 450-500 whp is cause of that low ass compression. We can do more on a stock turbo stock motor but they can do more on a bigturbo stock motor. I doubt our engine can handle a gt-30r up to 450-500 whp

Whoa its a ko4 not a TDo4? I just wanna know what im working with here. I know its not the BW one but i did think it was a K04 then people started saying it's a TDO4? Please Guide ME! I hate knowing nothing about this car....

its a K04 hybrid.

A lot of people on here make it seem like there are only 3 turbos in the world and that it *must* be the same K04 VW uses. Its not the same, its completely different.

So where back to the same thing where we know what turbo it is but not exactly the specs on it.? Oh well that will have to do. So I wonder if those specs I threw up on the BW K04 are close to the one on our car.

your probably right, but throw in some forged rods and pistons, bump the compression down a tich and BAM, you have 450-500 whp and LOTS of wheel spin (sun)
 
You positive they are forged? i thought i remeberd ken saying somewhere that he has seen them and they have cast marks on them. but who knows i could be mistaken.

forged rods can have cast marks, not all forged rods look like what you see for sale for aftermarket rods
