What is the dumbest thing a Parts store employee has ever said to you?

Him: Yeah that car has the same motor as mine with a different exhaust and intake manifold.
Me: The motor is a 5.4, yours is a 4.6
Him: OH well it is a 5.4 but they had it written down officially as a 4.6, because a 5.4 is too big and would break laws for how big a motor can be in a car like a mustang.
Me: OK
(love it when people don't even know the history of cars they drive

You don't speak about the R like that. He needs a proper flogging.

Damn..makes me wonder how big the Viper engine REALLY is if they understate the size for legal reasons. I'm guessing around 11 liters??

These are they types of clueless people we share the roads with, folks. Scary, eh?

I got sold a spark plug gapper for the bosch fusion +4 plugs.. LoL but i guess my dumbass wasnt paying attention to what i was buying either. got home reached in the box ive got a shiny gapper just sitting on display for couple years now.. Damn autozone..

yeah dude, all autozone employees will tell you that you need 4 coil packs no matter what you tell them lol.

Like the special one that works over here....LOL

Acording to this AZZZ Wipe The MP3 never exsisted and I had custom stickers made and made the car up. And did you know when we rolled in with 323's MSP there are two different MSP's some had the "performance package" turbo and the rest were just the "sport package" which was just ground effects on a stock protege. The stories go on and on. He had a mustang v6 that he had tried to cobra out but failed and then tried to sell it for 3 grand. That thing had more rust then the titanic and had 4 different rims (1 cobra, one stock steeley, i of the 16 inch alluminum stock 5 spokes and one donut) Well I guess he sold that POS not and now we always run into him and his beat up 80's civic that is a 10 second car. I even got jetta stories too....

What dealership was that?

Alton Blakely, didn't really have to prove to AB or anything, just convince the salesman that my car wasn't "custom" and was just a factory Mazda car. He, along with several of his friends, thought the first Mazdaspeed Vehicle was the MS6.

Was trying to drive the new 5.0, but just gave up and left. Everytime I go there, they act like I have never driven a car before.

I hate AB, man. They are so rude and dicks all the time. Ill never buy a car from them or Don Marshal.

Not dealer or parts related but I got in an argument with someone about how he insisted that whp is always more than bhp. And for the sake of argument let me clarify whp = wheel horse power and bhp = brake horse power aka crank horse power aka the engine horse power with non power producing components detached (ie ac compressor or power steering pump)

He also had a mustang cobra...I was not surprised

Similar story as above. I went to the Mazda dealership for a rear turn signal (no one carried them). Told him it was for a Mazdaspeed Protege. He asked me if there is another name is goes by because he's never heard of it. I told him no, it is what it is. He then started to argue with me saying that he's been with mazda for 13 years and he's never heard of a Speed Protege.

I went to my car, pulled it up to the parts window (entrance to the service bays), a few service people came up saying that I can't pull up there. I brushed them off, asked Jason, the parts fella to come out of his little box and run my VIN. He did, and sure enough it came up as...well...MazdaSpeed Protege. Just as the rear badge says...front carpets, front foot guards, gauge face plates, engine cover, owners manual. All of witch I made SURE he walked around the car with me and took note of.
One of the managers ended up coming out to the back trying to figure out what was going on. I made sure to let him know.
Needless to say...I haven't seen Jason there since.

Jackass!

I think he is implying that the guy is a local redneck, and doesnt have any idea about imports

Nah, really has nothing to do with imports or domestics or any of that. Not even really cars

The guy was arguing that his wheel horse power was more than his engine produced, and that just doesn't make any lick of sense. The best part was when he told me his buddy is a tuner so he should know more than me (he as in the dumby in question)

I love it when ppl do that. They have something brilliant to input because they know someone or are the spouse of someone who is a professional in the subject, so they must have the same knowledge.
