What is the best Smart Key configuration?

I have 1 Smart Card 1 key w chip and 1 key without chip.

I'm thinking I should keep the chipless key with the Smart Card. In the case that I would lose the Smart Card, I could still start the car with the chipped key.

I'm not ready to spend $300 for a new Smart Card and programming at present.

Thoughts?

That's true. Then again, if your Smart Card's battery went dead, you couldn't start the car with just the chipless key.
