What is LED 8? Manual lists for interior, forward overhead map light

That's about it. One of our 2019 CX-5's forward, overhead map lights is out. Manual says merely, "LED 8." How do I find proper replacement with so little information? Thanks for any comments.

To your question of "How do I find proper replacement with so little information" .... Yeah, just telling you it's an 8 watt bulb isn't much to go on lol. I would use parts lookup engines on Mazda parts and/or auto parts websites ...

So, if you go to a Mazda parts website, you get a part number of BBM4514C5

If you go to an auto parts store website for aftermarket parts you get a replacement bulb number such as Sylvania LED Mini Bulb DE3175SYLLED (so it's a 3175 bulb)

If you search https://www.amazon.com/dp/ (commissions earned) for a 3175 LED bulb you get lots of options

^ This.

3175 type bulb.

On my 2016.5 GT, I installed a set of the 3175 bulbs from VLEDS. Much, much brighter than the factory bulbs. Not that much more than the over-the-counter available Sylvania DE3175 LED bulbs, for example, but it's several times brighter than the Sylvanias. Nice improvement, IMO.

At least on my 2016, both the front map lights, 2nd row map lights and the cargo/liftgate light are all the same 3175 type bulb. The VLEDS website has a little "vehicle" search tool where you can narrow down which specific bulbs apply to your car's year. Looks like it's the same bulb in your case, as well, according to the VLEDS search.

BTW, I purchased these at the end of year holiday period, where they discounted them to ~$9ea. Currently they're $12ea. If you do one and like them, you might be able to catch a discount sale later in the year, for the rest.
