Mazda Cx-5
Hi All,
Now all the dealers have 2015 Mazda CX-5 in stock now. What is different between 2014 and 2015 Mazda Cx-5? Is there new features or new engines? Thank you!

Hey,
I actually just purchased a 2014 cx-5 GS last Saturday. I asked about the 2015 to my sales rep and he had said that there really is no difference from 2014 to 2015. The reason I bought the 2014 was because the insurance prems were cheaper and it looks no different from the new one. Got to test drive both =)

2015 Touring and Grand Touring comes standard with Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry. There's also a blue color that replaced the 2014 blue. Other than that, I don't think there's much difference besides the leather boot shift gate in the 2014.5/2015.

hmmmm curious if they tried to correct the head unit issue with the ipod

Thanks! Wells, that's not much different between 2014 and 2015. Why they don't upgrade the head unit screen from 5.8" to 7" or 8". 5.8" is too small. =)

Everybody complains about the screen size, but even the aftermarket ones, most of them are only 6.1". The very high end ones are 6.95".
For navigation, many are fine with even 3.5" Garmin units.

agreed. it's mainly a case of screen envy.

i have one of the original garmins, bought in the late 1990s, with the small screen. it still works (i keep it in my 2nd car). the only reason i have a 6" screen garmin now is i wanted voice recognition. the size is very adequate.

My local dealer said that there were only a very few changes for 2015, like the ones mentioned above. Now one of the reasons I didn't get the Tech package when I recently bought my 2014 GT was that I heard that Mazda was doing a software upgrade for the CX-5 NAV for 2015 to resolve a lot of complaints about poor NAV performance, and since I can add a NAV unit as an option I decided to wait until the upgraded units hit the parts shelves at the dealers. I have read elsewhere that Mazda will not be upgrading the screen size but will wait a few years until a major upgrade will occur then put in a new screen system similar to the new Mazda 3.

Mazda 3 is 7", not exactly high end.

I also had a 7" screen on my last xtrail, a Nissan.
