I was going to make fun of you again, then I realized that in about a year the most the celica has moved is from 1 side of my garage to the other, pushed on wheel dolleys. So... well done on the move brother! hahahaha

Autocrossed my FC RX-7 at LVMS.

Results haven't been posted yet, but from talking to the others in CSP, I think I took 3rd place, my co-driver took 2nd... we were beaten by a miata with much fresher tires...

also, in the "fun runs" that were held after the event, I got my first chance to drive an F-125 shifter kart... OMG that thing is like steering a torpedo. got a faster time in that kart than any of the CSP cars' runs, and I was waaaay off line and rarely even able to have the guts/skill to keep it in the powerband.

I need another project/moneysink like I need a hole in the head, but damned if that kart wasn't way more exciting to pilot than watching F1 in-car video.
 
started bodywork on the RX-3 FINALLY

entire car is stripped of paint, ground off the small rust spots, and sprayed with rust treatment, got primer on the roof, a-pillars, doors, and trunklid... started blocking it off with primer and black rattlecan paint to find the low and high spots to start hitting it with hammers and using body filler..

so many dents, seems like it must have been in a massive hail storm!
 
today I pulled the IM and the Spiders nest and other random bits in preparation of pulling the motor....

I hope I can put this thing back together lmao

Gonna have to replace a bunch of vacuum and fuel lines....
 
autocrossed the '87 RX-7 on Sunday...

best run:

took 2nd in csp.

worst run:

spun, flatspotted a tire thru the cords, and then spun again because of that... limped it back home, ehe...
 
Finally took out my crappy stock r1 seats and dropped in some memory fab S58 seats with "super low" rails.

Then it was off to my friendly Mazda Dealer to replace the Cosmo's aging fuel lines...

Thanks! As for the lines...Preventive maintenance...My Dealer Friend said that they had a few months left before the risk of cracking would be high...I inspected the old ones after they were taken out and they were practically rock hard...Peace of mind is a good thing...:)

Thanks man...Yeah...My license plate gets it the worst when cruising down the highway in summer...
