What have you done to your P5 today?

Well I don't know then.

Rant: I don't understand why people do that mod, I don't think anyone has proven that those ignition coils have the same characteristics as the ones that are meant for the FS-DE. Just because it looks different isn't a good justification for modifying such an important part of your engine management system...

So your saying not a good thing to do the conversion ?

Not really, we know that a few people have done it successfully done it but I just don't see the point. The ECU was designed to use the coil-on-plug type ignition coils so why change that? AFAIK there's no evidence to suggest that they're electrically equivalent (timing-wise and power-wise) which is why I wouldn't do that mod.

Clearcoat and blue paint is just faded and gone all around the car in huge spots so i pulled the plug
and went from this:

Had to get an extra gallon to do my front lip and finish up the roof nicely. So that should be done in about 2 weeks or so when my paint arrives.
*on a side note, i know my roofrack pieces are still white, I took the photo before i finished peeling off the white on those rack pieces and sunroof. And for those who don't know, this is the plastidip matte white. I am pretty impressed. Hesitant at first but all went well.

Oh I see what you mean . True interesting . Makes me wonder now

^^^ Bingo. Hope you didn't mess up the threads for the tension arm.
How do I know if it got messed up? Oh and btw I'm using a spare egr valve bolt for bolt c since the bolt c snapped in half. Bolt B is 14mm right?

Should not have removed any bolts! You need to loosen B and A and then use C to rotate/pivot teh alternator

So that adjusts the belt tension? The belt feels over tightened. Trying to loosen it a little.

I still wanna get another layer or 2 of paint onto the car and gotta do the lip as well. But for what it's worth, it's good to me. Gonna hold onto this thing for about 2 more years and then its Toyobaru BRZ!

Go with the BRZ since they have announced a STI version. The FRS has a greddy packager I believe

Or go with the cheaper, faster S2000 with huge aftermarket support. ;)

On topic, waiting on bushings and sorting through the madness of wiring up this swap.

Should get my catless mid pipe this week and a non foulder trick already set up to add to my header. then i should have al codes off finally (10 of them i had) just need to figure out why i have a miss fire one now.

I'm going to pick up a non-fouler to drill out for Rico since I have a drill press at work. Would anyone else be interested in one as well? I'm not looking to make any money off of them. Just pay for the non-fouler and shipping.
