What have you done to your P5 today?

Here's the dummy faceplate for my "stereo". Lulz. If someone breaks into my car to steal my stereo they are gonna be pissed.

What about spending some money on a simple Alpine single din and the rest on a good alarm?

well they didnt break into my car, i had to have left it unlocked by accident ><. with that factory alarm it will be set off if you unlock the door with anything except the remote (in my experience at least). its just a difference of $430 for everything if i do the double, and then $180 for a factory refurbished single. person also liberated my oakleys from the car so i need to replace those too (they had a good long 8 years with me)

this is what im looking at if i do a double

and if i do a single its this

I've been looking into a double din touchscreen. I want everything but nav since I already have nav, however, having built in nav would be sweet. Depends on price I guess. I need a CD player (alot of the fancy double dins don't have them), I want an aux plug in, and I want it to control my iPod like my Alpine does. I was looking at a model on ebay just to check out new units, prices, features, etc. This one unit had EVERYTHING, even a T.V. tuner built in. I saw the dummy face accessory for it and thought that was the best thing ever

I've been looking into the Pioneer AppRadio2 for a while now. ALL touchscreen AND you hook your phone up to it (supports android now rather than just iPhone) and you can use whatever navigation you have on your phone (if applicable). I have yet to experience it first hand, but with the way Android is progressing, this is a pretty good deal. The only downside is that it doesn't have a CD player... but who uses CDs these days? Oh, and the $500 price tag is a bit tough to swallow, but I can see past that.

Just my humble opinion. I'm probably switching to it in the fall.

Not bad, but I want a physical volume knob. I already have a Tom Tom so nav isn't necessary. I NEED a CD player. I have 20 some CD's in my car I frequent. I like the quality as compared to a mp3. My Alpine runs my 30G iPod like a music Harddrive and I navigate it completely through the headunit, but the navigation is a bit clunky through a single din all button head unit. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy SII Epic. Pretty sweet that it is compatible with android, but not the stereo for me. I might check out some local stereo shops and the flea market to get an idea on the right unit for me :)

I've got a sony single din in mine. No cd either, no nav or anything special. basically just a space filler.

i kinda just want an old tape deck from like a 1980s car and use an adapter. i think it would look real funny being in there

Definitely not my cup of tea but it looks like he put a decent amount of time and effort into it. For having a ridiculous amount of speakers, it's well done.

Not my cup of tea either, but I respect the amount of work went into it. But why not just spend the money on a good HOME stereo with good speakers and a tube amp you can listen to in an acoustically nice environment? I'm old...

yeah i agree.. well everything but the being old part.. Drove my P5 to work today have over 1500km on her since Sunday when i brought her home..

trying to figure out what radio to put in my car now. debating a double DIN touch screen unit or sticking with a single. both the ones I like do not have removable face plates (the way the world is going it seems)

I am debating on either to use my older, kick-ass active 880PRS or try out one of the new JVC double din's with Android control via bluetooth.

I wish, it's a string voodoo doll of a Fallen Angel. Cool little keychain with a bell. Each one has it's own meaning, plus the red matches some of my accent colors here and there.

Here is a website

ive got one of those voodoo dolls!!

took the p5 out to mass today for a bike ride with some guys from work. nice twisty roads on the way there, loved it!
