HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT okay I think that explains it. we finally and randomly saw some water come down earlier but for just like 5 mins smh :/ i bet when i get off and go outside its going to be feeling worse that it has all week fml.

hoping it rains again instead tho. we need the rain atleast for a day.

EDIT
yall know if they sell any type of test pipe for the p5?

So from 10 codes I'm down to 2

P169 and p1250

I know one has to do with the pressure regulator it said . Should I take it off and try to clean it? Replace it? The other code I'm clueless

so today was my last day at my current crappy job and i start working at a machine shop on the 5th.
so i decided that tomorrow (the first day to my first vacation in about 3 years) i will put in a new alt, since the bearing on mine has been squeaking under load for a few months now.
im going to do my very best to take it out from the bottom since last time i was under there it seamed like it would be easier to do it that way. wish me luck!

^ mayb that's the same squeal noise I get too when I first drive it . Belts are new So those can't b the problem

Continued piecing my motor back together. All that's left is the timing belt, oil pan, and fuel rail.

Ya same here. I see a few P5 around but seems like no members. Its all HONDA get togethers.....

Btw, it don't matter if its 400hp, or putting. Its all about bonds and smiles, zoom freaking zoom.....

so im in the middle of taking out the alt.
taking the dang thing out is being a little harder than i thought it would be, (i just broke the oil dip stick)
its time for a pizza break

***update***
ive changed belts on this kind of engine at least 5 times by now, and for the fist time ever the long bolt to tighten the alt decided to turn on me!
i always lock the little metal block (lower right of pic) near the middle of the bracket and then tighten the long bolt and finaly the 14mm bolt on the bottom of the alt.
ima go by a few extra bolts right now and hopefully it doesnt happen again... grrrr

I need to see if the wiring is the same. It should be, I believe the switch is what does the auto part.

I would just take out the driver side switch and see if it works on the passenger side. If so, I would assume they would both work independently. If THAT works, I would consider doing all 4. But again, that's just me. I have a new project now.

hey rico that looks pretty good. how think is the spacer?

on a more important note though,,,
i just put in the new alt and its over charging! its not being regulated. at idle im at 17v and will climb up with rpm.

someone correct me if im wrong but isnt the ecu supposed to regulate alt voltage or is the alt self regulating?
someone help me out please!

Yes, the ECU controls the output voltage of the alternator. Don't run the engine until you get a new one, you'll be lucky if you didn't fry any sensors =/
