What have you done to your P5 today?

I heard the optima's have dropped in quality recently, maybe look into it a bit..
I came across similar information, I have been using a red top for over 7 years now, but doesn't seem they will be worth it when it comes time to replace.

$930 quote from Maaco to get the cancer known as rust 'repaired'.
So where is your "cancer" - rear wheel panel where bumper meets panel and/or bottom of doors?? damn rust!!!

So I decided to switch the wiring to the relay setup that came with the retros and only the passenger side fires. All this because I wanted to get the hazards working. I can get both lights working wiring them seperatley like I had before. But the hazards still don't work and I think I need them to pass inspection.

yes sir....hazards are required....do your blinkers work?

Blinkers work. And the relay wiring only has the passenger side light fire so I would like that to work as well. But first I want to figure out the hazards. Nothing has changed as far as wiring for them

On my 626, I had a similar issue and it was the box under the dash. I had hazards and one turn signal but not the other turn signal. A new one cured my issues..

What box are you referring to and how much? I think this maybe my issue. Strange that thus happened only with the retros installed though.

Probably the box that controls the turn signals/hazards. It's white and all the way up in the dash. It makes the click sound when your turn signals/hazards are on.

Thought about parting it out and replacing it with an 05+ Legacy GT and Mini Cooper S... then decided to wait until next year LOL

Damn. That should be fun since my radio is stuck in place and I kind if would need to pull that. The surround for it keeps getting stuck at the screws when trying to pull it

Starting the swap today. :)

It's not behind the radio. It's behind the gauge cluster, so just lie on your back in the driver's footwell and look up

I think that's the first time I've seen the MX-5s on a P5, looks good. Looking forward to seeing it with a drop.

washed it yesterday, looked awesome, then it rained at midnight when at a drift session, and then i rewashed it today :) looks amazing
